Great free museum in Green River. They have some really cool artefacts on display and very interesting exhibits on the local history. Make sure you watch the short documentary on the Rock Springs Massacre, it's very sobering.

If you have time, also check out the Rock Springs museum just up the road. It's a lot bigger, but the Sweetwater County Museum has a special charm to it.

Situated in a old historic building, this museum has a small but very nice collection of artifacts, photos, and explanatory info about Green River & the county history. It includes mining, ethnic, railroad, river, and social history. There is a small gift shop. Admission is free and parking on the street is free. Well worth a visit.
