East side of Mendocino is a good place to visit on a "cool" summer day. They have the old Stonyford Ranger Station office here that was built in 1933-1942. It is much like the office at Eel River Work Center, but with a larger back end. It was moved here in 1971 and has an apparent addition to the right side of the front elevation with the left elevation being attached to the main church building. The office is used as Sunday school rooms and apparently has a door on the back elevation was was converted to a small window.

Outdoor pavilion or you can watch and listen from the comfort and safety of you own car (come early). Good, friendly folks. Bible study for all ages too.
