I enjoy this store and have several times over my lifetime, when things were tight as a single paycheck, single Mom. I recently spent $59 on clothes that fit me, now, after a significant weight loss. I donate to this store frequently, specifically because they give back so much support to our community.
The only problem I have discovered is, that the store (*I think it's the store*) washes and dries everything thing with a very pungent, overbearing ,smelly detergent and softener. It literally makes for a complete sensory overload. I'm on my third washing of everything I purchased. I would hope that it be considered that Only UNSCENTED DETERGENT, SOFTENER AND DRIER SHEETS be used going forward. Scent sensitivity is a real thing. Thank you for considering NOT using those types of products.

If the store doesn't launder... then someone needs to stop spraying Linen Scent Febreeze all over everything. I don't believe I purchased 15 pieces all from the same person or the same load of laundry. They all smell the same.... even now, after 3 separate 1 hour long washes. Acknowledgement and awareness of the sickening scents that make people sick is all I was going for.
I don't want a refund.

This is a pretty decent thrift shop. I can confidently say that you don't find the typical torn or stained clothing items here like you do at other thrift shops.
I think their volunteers take more time sorting thru the donations and are selective as to what is put out.
There's always a decent selection, men's women's, kids, housewares.
They are more priced more fairly than goodwill, maybe with the exception being books. I feel books are priced a little high there.
It's always clean, welll organized, and usually the volunteers are nice and friendly-sometimes you get a real snapper though.

This " WAS " one of my favorite thrift stores. I drive from the Houghton Lake area to St. Johns on and off to come to the thrift store....Not anymore. I was there on May 2nd, 2024 and the prices were outrageous!!! You have everything donated to you and then you're asking sky high prices. You people should be ashamed!! I realize that you help the less fortunate, but they should be able to shop there and be able to afford item's they need. Who ever is pricing the inventory has lost their mind. I would have purchased some items, but with the prices as they are, I walked out with nothing. If you keep your prices reasonable, you will sell more in the long run than marking everything with a steep price tag.

We went there and everyone there went above and beyond! We are so blessed! Thank you all that work there! We’re finally in our new home that you guys helped us get things for. I will never have enough words for the kindness that was shown.

Way over priced!! Cost more than new. Things that should be a set are priced separately. Like a candle in a candle holder is .50 and that’s the only sticker you see then you get up there and there the holder is marked on the bottom for $5.

This is the nicest cleanest organized thrift store around. The staff is friendly and really works at keeping the store in very nice order. They always have a great selection of items.

I always have a great experience at your store. The only issue I have is trying to get my cart out thru the double doors. The exit door if propped open would help a lot. But I love the items, prices and all the staff is great. Keep up the good work.
