I love the idea of thinking Mr Thomas Tallis did use this very building as a choir boy back in the 16th century. Not the same organ, not the same architecture and decoration, but they do fit together quite well for our contemporary eyes and imagination. I especially love the lunchtime recitals offer - on Tues, Thurs and Fridays. Magnificent organ!

A little gem today completely surounded by recent well designed modern buildings. The contrast is very interesting. A very pretty corner of the city of London.

Beautiful and serene 14th Century Church, partially damaged during the Great Fire of 1666. Sir Christopher Wren rebuilt the damaged area, keeping three intact Mediaeval walls. It should be described as Anglican rather than Episcopal (a US-only terminology, Google please note), as per St Mary’s own website. Definitely worth visiting and attending a service.

Gorgeous church with plenty of natural light. It also has excellent acoustic for classical music events which is a regularly feature here.
