Beautiful ancient church right in the middle of Richmond town centre. As you enter into the courtyard a strange peace descends upon you. There is a moderately sized garden with lots of seating, flowering plants and ornamental trees surrounded by low walling, it is connected to the main shopping street via Church Walk off Paradise Road.
The church architecture is absolutely gorgeous with a mixture of styles from different architectural periods, from Tudor to Victorian. Fabulous interiors - check out the stained glass windows.
The church has an adult choir which leads worship on Sundays and at major festivals. On Sundays, the choir sings at the 9:30am Parish Eucharist and for Evensong at 6:30pm.

Yet another once fine old Church interior desecrated at an astoundngly immense cost financially and aesthetically. The very old pews have been replaced with dull, even more uncomfortable ones, many other beautiful small features thrown into the oblivion of skips and antique dealers shops. This Church now feels more like a vast tomb than a place of worship, such a shame. The vast amount of money spent could have been used to do so much more lasting good, what a lost opportunity.

Sadly I was there for a funeral, but what a beautiful church. Great location in the centre of Richmond. Lovely inside and outside. An oasis of calm in a busy city. Couldn't have asked for a better place for my friend's send-off.

My autistic son needed somewhere quiet to sit during sensory overload & there were people talking & organ playing on a Thursday at 11:50am. No one offered to help. They should know how hard it is to find a quiet place. Very mean & inconsiderate of vulnerable people in need of such a simple thing. We sat outside and then police sirens went off, tried the church again & the organist was practising very loudly.

Every night, particularly during Summer months, the Church yard and connected alley attracts considerable antisocial behaviour, from drug taking, drunken shouting/fighting, and overall appalling behaviour. The church and the council need to do more to combat this for both the sake of local residents and its patrons.
