An intriguing and arresting landmark.
The eclectic exterior an extravagant medley of red brick, knapped flint panels, limestone and decorative “checker-work” bands.
And it doesn’t let up: sentinel polychromatic twin turrets with delicate spires fronting the massive traceried stained glass window.
And then the buttressed tower with parapet, again showcasing an exuberance of decorative techniques - virtually a reference pattern-book. Grade II Listed, ( consecrated 1904 ) attributed to John Oldrid Scott, the second son of the eminent Victorian architect Sir George Gilbert Scott.
I didn’t enter the church.
An active community here.

There was a crafts fair advertised in the Nextdoor app but on arrival - absolutely nothing. Complete waste of time and petrol.

The Reverend Julie does outstanding work for the local community and works alongside a committed voluntary community, providing food, meals, clothing and moral support to whomever seeks it, people from all walks of life.
Regularly feeding over 200 people each week, this fantastic aid needs more support than ever. STEP UP and help out.
