I was lucky to photograph a wedding in this beautiful church. It has an epic space and lovely acoustics. The lighting is nice, which can’t be said for many churches. Also, it is very close to other amazing venues in Greenwich… like The Queen’s House.

Since Greenwich was associated with the Tudors, we also visited the over 1,000-year-old Church of St. Alfege, where Henry VIII was baptized in 1491. There is also an organ on which (especially the octaves of the middle keyboard) were played by princesses Mary and Elizabeth (future Mary I and Elizabeth I, respectively). The church is modest but nice. In the church gardens you will find a place to eat. Clean and nice☺️

Very interesting part of Greenwich to explore and a great place to escape the shops and crowds. The church and grounds boasts an interesting rich history really worth a visit if you’re intrigued by old gravestones.

Compact church with history starting in 1200s. Nice looking church yard with remains of graves. Peaceful place.
