So about a month ago I was still living with my ex-husband who was being very verbally abusive and kicking in doors and things while I was changing and a lot of other stuff pushing my son into walls threatening me. When I called the South Lyon Police department they said that if I didn't like it I should leave. By pushing his son around he was just being a Dad. When I told them I didn't have anywhere to go they told me that was my problem. These men were called to a domestic violence situation and told me it was my problem this happened on more than one occasion. They really deserve medals of Honor. This lady's and gentlemen is why you never ask a woman why did you stay!!!

They ha e a public drop for used sharps. My husband takes and injectable medication and it's been hard to find a place to dispose. Bin was full when I got there. Officers were very friendly and kind. Helped me by swapping out the box. Very helpful.

My thanks to the young police officer who stopped me after I cruised thru a STOP sign at 9 Mile and Dixboro and let me off with just a warning. I had left the clinic in town after testing negative for Covid, feeling awful and just wanting to get home to rest. He really made me feel better.....and grateful that we have officers like this on the job.

Had a wonderful experience today with the south lyon pd. I locked my keys in my car this afternoon so I called the non emergency number and someone was at my car in 15 minutes. The officer was kind and didn't do any damage to my car. Can't thank you enough

What a great group of Fire Fighters! This crew really is a big part of this town! They volunteer endless hours, they are always taking extra training classes they are constantly giving their all and learning new skills to help keep our not so little town (anymore) very safe!

Tell me not to park at the corner of Warren at the bus stop yet there are 2 vehicles parked on each side of the street at the corners every morning. Way to be fair and consistent.
