A decent mid-sized library. Plenty of tables, chairs and places to sit down and read undisturbed. Of course helpful librarians. Plenty of public computers. You can apply for a passport here. An outside area with places to sit, read, talk (unfortunately no outlets in that area). It could use a good deep cleaning, like the carpet, walls, the bldg itself is in need of a power wash. Overall, not a horrible public library in the San Diego area.

The library deserves an upgrade! I voted for the renovation but there’s no date for it yet? We deserve a better facility and better books! The staff are great. The kids section is good. I need more books!

Library is nice but don’t do your Passport Services here. Other reviewers mentioned rude staff and they’re right. Hope they find jobs they love doing one day.

Passport service staff are incredibly rude. They all need to be trained on courtesy and professionalism As convenient as it may be, you're better off going to a site that respects it's clients.

Library is open now! We have gone the past two days and it's been mostly empty. I hope they reopen all the sections/activities of the library soon, but for now you can still look at books freely and check them out. I love the architectural style that let's natural light in with all the windows!

Been to plenty of San Diego’s libraries and this stays my little favorite study nook.

There are a realistic amount of places to study in (with electric outlets!) with enough privacy to keep to yourself, and with chairs and tables where you can sit in a normal position for hours (unlike weird sofas with tiny tables or shared tables that abound other places).

It is quiet. A lot of other libraries have the loudest librarians! Not here. The layout of the place helps too. Lastly, there are places with natural light and you can even take on fresh air from within the library. It really helps to have natural light and air when you have to study for long hours.

Oh! And the hours are very convenient too!!!! I love being able to have time to study away from home in the evenings or on the weekend.

A true jewel, since the library was designed by Mexican architect Legorreta. The disposition and lighting of the space is simply beautiful.

They have a collection of books on both English and Spanish, the only downside for this place is the awful customer service and the old computers.
