The State of California has allocated $24 billion over the last 5 years to address the homelessness crisis, yet the problem has only worsened. The reality is stark: these funds literally achieve next to nothing for those in need. The majority of the funds ends up in the hands of employees, labeled as “payroll,” while the smaller half of each month’s budget is designated for utilities, rent, & other "overhead costs." Even resources like pamphlets & business cards seem to take precedence over actually helping the homeless. The meals provided consist of old donated food that grocery stores couldn’t sell. It’s baffling that this cycle continues without public scrutiny; it’s a scam, especially the way these facilitators prioritize themselves over their supposed “genuine effort” to tackle homelessness in our community. They ought to be ashamed of themselves, the lord definitely will.
