Solutions for change is a great program. If you need help finding a start a living and they have great resources to get you off your feet in serious times solutions for change help me and my family so much I could thank them 1000 times more if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t know what to do. I really recommend this place.

Not the only option in some cases yes.
A little to troubling for my mind at the state I was in. To me I felt like some of the staff lacked of true compassion and or treated me like I was less or “Grunt” but then again I was carrying a lot of trauma this could just been my own eternal feelings but still I felt this way and didn’t know who to turn to. While fighting to get my children back being at a family oriented program that was very triggering and difficult. The Structure and format to this program makes sense and helps for some who really want it. You gotta really want it.

If local to national organizations dealing with homelessness adopted the values and approach developed by Solutions for Change, there would be significant progress in solving this rapidly escalating problem. Amazingly it is done with the support of local community people and organizations, and without government funding. Solutions alone can't solve every problem related to the complex issue of homelessness but is a very solid foundation.

Volunteering with solutions for change has been one off the best decisions I have ever made! The truly care about the community and helping people to reach their full potential. Homelessness is a serious epidemic in San Diego and I am so thankful that there is an organization with genuine people that are doing everything they can to help as many people and families as they can to succeed and provide for themselves and their children. I can't say enough positive things about Solutions for Change. After leaving an unsafe marriage and losing savings to illness, I found myself without a home and with two tiny children. I thought I could make it on my own and found disappointment and failure again and again. Eight months later, I entered Solutions. They systematically build our confidence and help us transform old unhealthy patterns into new healthy ones. Day in and out, we get the tools needed to reach where we want to go in life. Very soon, me and my kiddos will be safe in our own apartment. I am building savings.... I will be getting a consistent job (and have a safe place of our own to stay WHILE looking)... and before I know it, will move on with a bigger support network than I've ever had before. I am immensely grateful to Solutions!! I highly recommend supporting Solutions, volunteering with Solutions, applying to Solutions yourself or recommending it to a friend.

Solutions for Change is a nonprofit that has been working to change the lives of many individuals to overcome homelessness. They are such a welcoming community! I have been volunteering for them for about a year in their Kid’s Zone and Social Media Pages. They have both online and in person ways to get involved! Volunteering for them has allowed me stay true to who I am and grow professionally.
