My Brother Michael loves it here at SKLD in Whitehall. He is currently here along with Hospice enjoying his time He has day by day. Michael 53 years old has a rare aggressive Lymphoma cancer with no immune system to fight anything. SKLD in Whitehall has been very understanding and supportive by wearing masks and keeping his door closed behind them at all times to help in keeping Michael germ free as much as they can. SKLD in Whitehall has Him feeling welcomed and loved. SKLD in Whitehall are quick to answer your needs and resolve them to the best of their ability. I would highly recommend SKLD in Whitehall to more Family and my Friends. Thank-you ALL Staff and Employees for the awesome continuing care for my Brother Michael Wheeler Rm# 113 THANK-YOU

SKLD has been and continues to be a great experience for my mother. The staff are professional, caring and supportive as they make every effort to create a happy and healthy environment. My mother has lots of activities to engage in, and really enjoys the daily exercise class and coffee in the beautiful & bright main dining room. The entire place is clean and well maintained. My family feels very comfortable and appreciative that our mother is enjoying life at SKLD. Also, Amber, the administrator is so loving and caring. She really makes Mom feel loved and cared for.

This facility had covid and accepted my family member into their facility without informing us. We had no idea they were dealing with a covid outbreak and would have picked a different facility if that was the case. They also fed a diabetic patient cake, ice cream, and orange juice instead of placing them on a diabetic diet. So far my experience with this facility has been terrible and I am very unhappy.

I would never recommend this facility if you have a loved one you would need taken care of. It starts from the top, director will not return calls, holds no one accountable, case managers are worthless and do as little as possible to assist in current or future care. This facility focused on turning beds and collecting insurance funds. No family communication about care, rehab, or patient well being. Oddly the day the insurance ran out our father had miraculously "met" all of his rehab goals that no one was aware of in the first place. We were asked to immediately come get him. And yes, we were more than willing to pay out of pocket. Questions were asked prior to release from hospital to this facility about setting up long-term care, no response from anyone after multiple attempts. And the needed surgery that was postponed over and over again is finally set up to be completed now that he out of facility. Another miracle! I do feel for anyone that has a loved one in this facility currently. Perhaps the employees there may get the chance to experience this level of care for themselves someday. One can only hope for karma to catch up to them.

My brother is a resident here at SKLD Whitehall, throughout his stay the staff has been extremely attentive to his Mental and Physical needs. As a family member communication is huge for me, and when I have a question regarding my brother's care it's either answered or followed up on in a timely manner. My wife was hospice nurse in the past so she is extremely aware of how a nursing home should communicate, and deal with families that have family members as a resident. With that being said, she appreciates when the facility reaches out to us if there is any concern regarding my brother throughout his stay.

I believe my dad was well cared for. This is his second time at SKLD of Whitehall and I would recommend this facilities to others. I know the day will come that my dad will need these services again and SKLD of Whitehall will always be our fist choice

With the COVID restrictions it was very difficult to not be able to "visit" my dad while he was there. As like everyone else, I was dependent on phone calls with staff to stay updated. We had some difficulties early on in the stay but once I was able to voice my concerns the Administrator Steve Chambers and Vice President Henry Boutros immediately responded and corrected the issue. - Thank you both

Therapy was great, I enjoyed my stay there. Food was great, less cold plates, more hot items. The staff was wonderful! I would definitely return and I will tell others about SKLD Whitehall.
