My mother has spent the last 2+ years of her life at Shelby Crossing which turned out to be a truly amazing experience for not only my mom, but also for the rest of our family. We cannot say enough about the entire kind, caring, and dedicated staff who became part of our family. It absolutely was the best decision we could have made for our loved one. We will be eternally grateful. It has been said that, in life, most of our close relationships and lasting friendships are formed before the age of 35. But, for my mom and our family, that statement has been proven to be untrue when it comes to the "Shelby Crossing Crew."

There are so many wonderful things about this place. The staff is amazing, Nicole, Frankie, Khatrea and all are kind, efficient and knowledgeable. But here’s the thing and there’s no way around it. Mom smiles again, likes the food, and praises the staff. No easy task. Now that’s the sign of a winning team. My heart go out to this team of professionals that come in day after day to make lives better. God Bless this group of amazing people as they are what make Shelby Crossing Assisted Living “home” for mom!

Our family cannot say enough about the care our mom received at Shelby Crossings! She was admitted for rehab of a fractured ankle. And at the age of 93, she was in need of much medical care due to a number of age related ailments.
The nursing staff and aids along with P/T and O/T cared for her as if she were their own mother. In addition, having a doctor on staff was very reassuring.
The whole Shelby Crossings staff works as a team! So much so that it wasn’t unusual to see the Executive Director passing out candies on Valentine’s Day, throwing on an apron to help with dining or assisting residents to their room. Everyone we encountered was very approachable, caring, and kind; always smiling. Not only to us, but to all the residents as well and very importantly, to each other!
Housekeeping noticeably does a great job tending to the facility.
The food is not only very good, the dining staff is truly attentive to the residents and to any guests that happen to join them.
The Life Enrichment team is extremely welcoming to all wishing to participate in activities…Bingo, Wine and Cheese Time and Happy Hour to name a few! We chose to use their laundry service and so happy we did. The turn around time was excellent.
Social Services worked so well with us coordinating mom’s healthcare plan during her stay.
When mom was discharged, she received many personal well wishes from everyone.
We can highly recommend Shelby Crossings to care for you or your loved ones needs!
Lastly, our father received excellent care three years ago at Shelby Crossings at the age of 91.They got him on the road to recovery and he has been going strong ever since!

This place was AMAZING. The staff nurses were attentive and so pleasant. I felt they really cared about the people. The food was good. The place was clean. They had activities and the overall atmosphere was cheerful. Frankie was so kind and welcoming when we moved in. I couldn't think of a better place to put someone for rehab. I am forever grateful for the kindness and great care they showed my mom. Highly recommend!

Both my parents were residents at Shelby for almost 7 years. I can’t say enough good things about the place. The staff is exceptional—very caring and attentive to the needs and personalities of my parents. I loved the family feel of the place and will miss the residents and staff who cared so much for everyone. Thank you for helping my parents in the final years of their lives.

My grandmother is currently at Shelby Crossing and has been for the past five years. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. I would especially like to thank Nelson, the Director, who has been more than helpful and friendly with our family and especially my grandmother. He is very accommodating and is always available to answer any of our questions. I would definitely recommend Shelby Crossing to anyone who is looking to have their family member feel safe and feel like they are at home.

I can’t say enough positive things about my recent stay at Shelby Crossing Health Campus following spine surgery. The transfer from the hospital was 48 hours post op. Every single staff member was very kind, caring and supportive! There are so many areas of expertise that I know that I would miss someone if I tried to list them. They took time to explain the plan for my care and therapy. The nurses, aides and therapists were careful to help me adjust to my restrictions and pain management. I am a picky eater, and the culinary staff was considerate. The meals offerings were all tasty and good portions. I was a resident for 15 days and I am thankful for every day there. I left feeling much stronger and confident. I appreciate every staff member stopping by to make sure things were going well or to say hi and to tell me about activities that were enjoyable. It was the best decision ever to try for a spot at Shelby Crossing for my rehab and therapy. I was referred here by a good friend and I will do the same for others.

My grandmother was transferred here from another local care facility and it was a huge blessing. The admissions team members were incredibly helpful and caring to help facilitate her transfer. The care there was excellent. She was well attended to and all of her needs met when family members could not be present. She enjoyed the food and they had a wide range of social activities. The quality of many nursing home facilities is not adequate and you cannot leave your loved one unsupported. Shelby Crossings is not one of those. Hopefully we won’t need their services again but if we do, we know where to go!
