I'm relatively new to Serving Seniors on 4th & Beech, I think I've been a member just over a week now. I had known about the place but had no idea of everything they have to offer those like myself over 65 disabled on fixed incomes and have kinda become isolating shut-ins! Their whole setup is geared to try and maybe get us out of that whole shut in given-up mode and I'm really stoked I found Serving Seniors when I did because they've literally been a sort of Godsend for me. Honestly I've really only utilized the lunches so far but everyone I've met thus far, both staff and other members, have been so friendly and encouraging to keep coming back. One staff member in particular named Guy has always been very nice polite and encourages me to keep coming back and partake in various activities and just be social. Thanks Guy and all the staff I've met have all been above and beyond professional! Today was Thanksgiving which I almost didn't go but I'm so glad I did! The staff and volunteers really outdid themselves making a great festive holiday atmosphere and decor and the cooks prepared a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings! It was honestly the best Thanksgiving I've had in many years! Thank you Serving Seniors! 😋 👍🇺🇸✌️

The Mary and Gary West Senior Center is a place where seniors over 60 can get breakfast and lunch regardless of ability to pay. They also provide health services and places to recreate, learn computer skill.

I am grateful and thankful for serving seniors thank the Lord. Serving seniors transitional housing got me off the streets from being homeless . They were excellent at helping me and very supportive. Serving seniors did a story on me how I use to be homeless and how I'm not homeless. Serving seniors did a video of my story in my home and it was presented at the Sunshine Gala event at the Marriott motel. I performed playing the piano at the sunshine gala event. I am eternally grateful to serving seniors and I appreciate the CEO serving seniors including me in their events to continue to speak my story and being able to play the piano and I'm eternally grateful for serving seniors to find me sanctuary and a home to be living in. Affordable. Serving seniors staff is very very friendly and supportive and I rate serving seniors staff of customer service well beyond the call of duty. I’ve worked here and i can say this was the worse working experience for people of color. Stereotypes and open racism during work i ended up telling my manager and she took me out of my job position. I PRAY FOR ALL THE POC WHO WORK HERE

The Gary & Mary West Surfing Señors facility is immensely helpful. They offer good, free meals and are open literally 364.25 days / solar year, every year.
A good, nutritious breakfast is served up Monday - Saturday followed by 3 lunches (11:15am, 12:15pm & 1:15pm) 7 days/week & holidays!
Granted, the food is somewhat institutional but there is always a good variety of nutritionally solid and balanced cuisines and - let's face it - you simply cannot beat the price.
On top of all this, they offer very reasonably priced in-house medical and dental facilities and very robust, professional, practical and helpful case management services for all their members.
I show up at their downtown SD installation at Least 3 - 4 days a week and quite literally cannot say enough good about the place!
👍👌🧐🤔🤗🙊🙉🙈😉🤪👋🖖🤙😎🌅

I was a Little upset I was there to see Jason Smith who was not there but no one bothered to call and cancel since no one else could see me. I have a good friend who bought me down from Spring valley. Not fair although everyone was nice. But of course now I have to make another appointment and ask my friend again. Thank God we have been friends for 57 years Have a blessed day thank you my name is Valerie James
