Our experience with Section House for our wedding was amazing! Our friends and family are still talking about the beautiful facility weeks later.

Jo and Drew are the best team. It is truly remarkable to see how they transformed this lumber yard/hardware store to an industrial, yet elegant loft-style event space. After touring the venue, we knew it was going to be incredible. Once it was set up for our reception, we were blown away (please check out our photos!).

Their communication was first-class; friendly and professional. They were flexible to meet our needs and quickly reacted when we made a weather call to host the ceremony inside on the day of.

We love Section House! Jo and Drew have created something so welcoming, so at ease, so beautiful and warm. Out of the many venues in sw Michigan, section house hands down takes the cake. Section house was the first and only venue we looked at for our May wedding. It was perfect! We knew there was nothing better in the sw Michigan area. The owners Jo and Drew were so kind and accommodating from day 1. The history behind the building being a hardware store previously really puts a unique touch on this venue, with some original detail still intact and visible. The originally flooring and wood ceilings are so beautiful and different than the many other venues in the area. The back patio and lawn is perfect for an outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour. If you are looking for something different, yet timeless and classic, book your event at section house! Highly highly highly recommend!

We were one of the first events at Section House in October 2022 and it was such a perfect space for our welcome dinner before our wedding. Jo and Drew were such amazing hosts and went above and beyond to make sure everything went as planned. If you have an event in the area, I’d highly recommend booking Section House!

They were so accommodating and flexible, which truly made our wedding day as stress free and enjoyable as it could have been. Drew and Jo at Section House were fantastic to work with for our wedding reception. We utilized their outdoor green space for our party, in tandem with their covered patio and indoor amenities. Highly recommend if you're looking for an outdoor space, with the comfortability of indoor bathrooms, backup plan for weather, etc.. Drew and Jo helpful and flexible the days leading up to the reception, as well as day-of. The location is unmatched for SW Michigan, and conveniently located right off the highway for those traveling in. Overall gorgeous space and our guests loved it!

My husband and I were so happy to have celebrated our wedding day at section house. The space is beautiful and Jo and Drew are so so helpful throughout the entire process. We really liked having a venue where we could personalize our vendors, but also have great recommendations from the section house as well. We definitely recommend choosing section house for any weddings or special events!

We first viewed Section House in early January 2022. I’m sure the owners Jo and Drew wouldn’t mind me saying that at the time the venue was in every way a construction site. During the tour there was definitely a lot of them describing how a room would look once construction was complete - “French doors here leading outside”, “a staircase will be here taking you up to a bridal suite”, “we’ll have tables and chairs for the dining hall”, etc.

As we were venue shopping at this time, there were other (obviously more complete) places that we saw. However, something about the venue and the owners had me set on Section House from that first day. It could have been Jo’s quick communication (super prompt responses at all times) and honesty (“we will NOT be ready by July 2022”), it could have been Drew’s recent completion of the venue’s bar (in that first visit he had just completed laying subway tiles in a herringbone design - a true testament to his dedication and craft), but something just felt right.

We visited Section House a few more times after that, and each time it was coming together more and more. We even saw the ladder to the bridal suite upgraded to the promised staircase. Some may view this as a negative, but one thing we loved about section house compared to some other places it that we had freedom to make the event our own. We were not limited in our choice of vendors (food, bar, photography, coordinator). My wife had a vision for our big day, and section house enabled us to realize it.

My wife and I were married at Section House on September 23, 2023. The finished venue looked just as it was described back in January 2022. It was the greatest day of my life. I wouldn’t change a thing.
