I have no idea who the Scheu Family is, but the people who run this place seriously cannot be bothered to keep up with things. Like every foam handle on every step machine is slowly being picked at and destroyed, and they haven't even stopped people from doing it, let alone fixed it. They disabled the indicator light on the drinking fountain water filter rather than replace the water filter. The step pedal to open a trash can might break, and if it does it just stays broken for weeks. If you ask the people at the desk about whether something could be fixed, they act really confused, like they've never heard of that piece of equipment and even if they had, no reasonable person would ever care about that in a million years. I also keep showing up and finding the gym is closed for some holiday or special event or repair that they never announced.

At the end of the video, you can see the boy deliberately bumping into my son 😡My son was deliberately bumped back and forth by this boy twice when he was swimming backstroke. After my son swam back to the shore, this boy also swam over to splash water on my son and tried to provoke him to hit him, but I stopped him in time. The boy's parents also came over and did not apologize to me for his son's behavior, but shouted that they had been swimming in this lane for an hour, and my son should not swim here, and he needed to ask in advance if he could swim here. I totally cannot accept their behavior. There were people swimming in all the lanes. I chose this lane because no one was swimming at the time. They rushed out at the end and bumped into my son when my son was swimming on his back for more than half of the way. They bully others, deliberately bump into others and intimidate others. The administrator heard the noise and came over to ask what happened, but they said that we were impolite and did not swim here with their permission, and also bumped into them. But I was shooting a video of my son's backstroke at the time and happened to record the photo of him deliberately bumping into my son. They were so horrible, and they kept looking at us viciously afterwards. My son and I also have psychological shadows. I hope the swimming manager can handle this matter and not let me and other guests get hurt again.😢

This YMCA contains a Kajukenbo studio. I love coming here to train with Professor Ramirez and continue my training in the martial art. The front desk is sometimes run by his blackbelt. Overall, great school.

The pool facility is not accessible in a practical way. I am disabled and walking long distances results and me becoming very dizzy.

I have a mobility device with wheels that helps me, but in order to use it, I have to cross the entire facility go down a very long ramp and then cross a basketball court to get to the pool, which is my only reason for membership.

The front desk person was very helpful and contacted a manager to see that I could have the side gate opened and all I had to do is call ahead. However, when I did that the gate was not opened. In fact, it was padlocked closed and just the side doors to the pool were open, which I cannot access without taking the long path through the front entrance.

I will say that the front desk staff was very helpful, kind, and understanding. However, meeting legal accessibility requirements is meaningless unless the practical use by disabled people is considered and that does not seem to be the case, which is a real shame.

We have been coming to swimming lessons at the YMCA for over a year now and are really happy with the swim instructors as well as the overall staff here. People are so friendly. Love how the kids are progressing as swimmers! Highly recommend.

This is a Y. It is not a boutique fitness center. It doesn't have every piece of weight lifting equipment and free toiletries in the showers like a Gold's Gym or "luxury" places.
But it does have an A+ staff and a sense of community none of those do. It also has indoor and outdoor basketball courts, an indoor astro-turf field for soccer/football/boot camps, and two large pools that you won't find elsewhere. There are weights, cardio machines and classrooms for your typical work out needs.
And the biggest selling point of all is the family nature. My son had outgrown any "kiddie-center" other gyms offer. But here at the Y he can have fun instead of just being baby sat. (Other gyms don't let kids participate until high school age at ealiest.) He loves the facilities and it is always the first place he requests going.
