First of all it is unbelievable that you go to this office then your sent outside and if you sit on the ground security officers are sent immediately to make sure you stand the real problem is there is not one place to sit not 1 bench and for people that have M. S or any other medical it is difficult and for people that don't have medical deserve also a place to sit I is ridiculous for a welfare office not even a bench to sit your told constantly to wait outside I can say that the workers are friendly efficient respectful but I encountered a situation that really was sad people need training on how to deal with special needs , person that are homeless and don't have a pair of shoes to go in and don't understand he was just didn't understand but was treated rudely and hungry and wanted his EBT but I quickly went to the car and gave him a pair . The problem with this world is that every one thinks they are better than everyone but a simple thing like helping someone doesn't cost anything it's free no one knows what anyone is going through. The people that work that are in that category judging is not your job 98% thank you for your kindness

Terrible service. I brought my senior mom to get vaccinated after having to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment. We were 10 minutes late because my mom had an issue and when we got there, the worker refused to help us and was rude to my mom and I even though they have a 15 minute late policy and were completely empty. The worker had a terrible attitude and was talking back to me with the worst tone I’ve ever heard. Meanwhile my mom became extremely anxious because of the way this worker was angrily scolding us. I would hope that there would be some compassion in this line of work or at least some respect. I had to talk to 3 different workers and all of them were rude and disrespectful. I really hope their supervisors realize how disgusting the behavior of their workers is and how badly they treat the citizens they should be serving.

This lady Cynthia kitch is so raciest as soon as I asked her a question she looked mad she wasn’t directly answering anything just making things so complicated I asked her a direct question can I come back and pick up the paper work tomorrow after I waited 2 hours when they told me I’ll only take 30 min I had to and I asked if I can comeback tomorrow she said I suggest you just wait the 30 minutes again and I left because she didn’t say that I can’t come pick it up tomorrow so I came back the next day and she said that the paperwork is not there because I had to pick it up the same day that’s why I asked her if I can pick it up the next day she said she wanted to waste my time

I don’t know where to start. I have been calling the access line in regards to my brother who has a severe intellectual disability with a feeding tube and other tubes. I got his renewal form late in the mail to start but submitted it on time. Have been calling the access line to get a status on the renewal because the information online is limited. They give you a chat option that is not even available. Have called multiple times to be a hold for 1-2 hours and the line getting disconnected and them saying it’s their phone system. To finally talking to someone. And after talking to multiple people only to get contradictory information. Keep calling back because I’m told his case was already received and reviewed but need to speak to an eligibility worker to again going on long hold times and finally talking to the girl 7/28/23. Keep in mind they finally answered after 5pm. From the start after putting me on hold she was refusing to help me telling me that I need to go to the county office when I have filled out the representative form there in the office 3 different times with other workers. They have the court documents for conservatorship that state I’m handling his case and the girl disregarding what I’m saying. I’m asking to speak to her supervisor to be told that they aren’t going to help me either. But after insisting puts me on hold and says I’m going to transfer you to get a voicemail. Then after a brief back and fourth proceeds to disregard her colleagues saying call representatives that answer the phone don’t know anything because they aren’t eligibility workers. I’m not sure if it’s lack of training, people being lazy or what. But the representatives that answered my phone calls on different occasions were able to locate that I was his representative and told me to tell them where to look for it to be told it’s not there, and said that I needed to speak to the eligibility worker. This girl that I finally spoke responds ā€œI can’t help you…go to the county office, ā€œ ā€œyou mean go again and fill another form out againā€ was my response. Someone needs to be held accountable for not doing there job. This girl had no consideration for our circumstances in whether his case was renewed. All I wanted to know is there anything missing that we need to submit because according to the other reps it’s been received and everything was received. Not sure why it has not been renewed. What a frustrating system and having to deal with people that should not be in that field if they aren’t willing to help others.

They are the best ever! Compassionate and understanding as best as they can be! If you are really down and out they will help you in my experience! Thanx to all of them! šŸ‘ Runs smooth, fast and thank goodness a lot of security to keep order! Great place! The best HHS building I have ever been too!

I was surprised to see so many rent a cops there. One of them even told me that I couldn't lean against the concrete safety bollards. His condescending attitude was laughable. Giant waste of time waiting in line when they could have just told me when I got there that the service my friend was seeking was not available. I was doing a favor for someone by helping him receive care. Thankfully, I have private medical insurance and don't want or need the services of a county health facility. I feel bad for the people who have to deal with these clowns on a regular basis.

I came all the way from Mexico to arrive here at 4:45 pm it was told that I can no longer get my EBT card because the office is closed at 4 30 pm which I know to be a lie because I've been to other offices after 4:30 p.m. and they've been able to get me my EBT card so they literally turned me around because they're just lazy and didn't want to the work. If this statement was true why isn't it mentioned anywhere on their website? And everywhere else you look at states that they close at 5:00 p.m.
Their laziness it's me back tremendously in my life considering I spent three hours after getting off of work early just to get here on time to get another EBT card since my wallet has been recently stolen. They have the audacity to tell me that they cannot give me one even though I arrive 15 minutes before closing time.

Now I have to go entire week without any food or gas for my car. I literally spent all the last of my money just to get here on time. Never again will I use this office and never will I recommend it to anyone considering I've never had this problem or any other location in San diego

I avoid this office like the plague. They closed off any seating area inside the building and make everyone wait in front of the building outside. The absence of any bench or sort of seating is just insult to injury. It should be a crime the several rent a cops monitor everyone like hawks and refuse to allow people to sit anywhere. This office is sad honestly.
