Administrator was so helpful with helping me get my mother placed in an assisted living home. She is kind, caring, and compassionate.. all staff are amazing to work with. The house is always clean and smells good, and the meals are all home-cooked. I would highly recommend this assisted-living home. I've been to many of them here in Fairbanks and toured most of them and by far Rocking Years is the cleanest and most friendly home I've been to.

The caregiving staff kept the house really clean, always very polite and kind, as well as willing and able to answer any questions. The house smelled good and the meals being served always looked good. My grandpa always said he loved it there. Would absolutely recommend this home.

Rocking Years Two is ran by competent staff who care about the people who live there. The owner is wonderful and really tries to communicate with family members. They are a critical resource in our community and their value cannot be underscored enough!

This is a great place to bring ur parents if you hate them and they were horrible parents.

Hands down one of the best assisted living homes for an aging loved one. Clean, clean, clean! Delicious homemade meals, amazing supportive staff and very welcoming and comforting for all age visitors. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! Very clean and the staff is extremely helpful and easy to work with. They treat your loved ones like their own.

This care facility does not have a nurse on staff so you have to administer medications yourself for family members. They’ve been seen putting used needles back into their “locked” cabinets for medications. They have not been cleaning up patients after they’ve soiled themselves and have left patients in their own urine/feces for hours. They lied about how much it was going to cost and charged a family member 8 thousand dollars for one month of care. Would not recommend.

I am only leaving 1 star. The owner Nikki is a lier and a cheat, she runs this home like a bar and intimates the clients and their family. The neglect and treatment of residents from her and her staff is absolutely deplorable. If you are going to place your family members at this facility, get ready for a lawsuit to follow!!
I was quoted $7000.00 for a month for a Disabled Veteran, shared room, and she would waive the end of the month of July since we we’re coming from the lower 48. Upon arrival she was absent from the intake until my multiple questions couldn’t be answered from Rhea, absolutely no research was done about my Dad’s medical conditions and she gave of out dated information on the regulations per-Alaska licensing. I was charged $8750. After we just spent $1200.00+ to travel. Don’t believe her!!! Not like we could just return on the plane to go back.
She claimed that she had never dealt with the new agent but has a regular agent that I assume she can manipulate. That any time was a report made and my fathers name was listed so she retaliated against my family even when we were extremely active in his care daily. The beds have severe ware and holes in the mattress’s as well.
The staff stopped giving him his opportunity to medicate, drink water, they used us supplies up like it was free items, fed him just salads for days(diabetic unbalanced meals), stopped clothing him and allowed him to lay in his wet/unclean bedding without depends on for hours or waited until my daughter came to do it so the staff could be more entertained on their cell phones or not available to be found when my daughter arrived. Nikki posted a retaliatory notice that small children were no longer allowed and all visitors had to make an appointment prior to entering even knowing my daughter didn’t have childcare during early/late hours to assist them with my Dad’s care and needs.
Medication was never locked up and anyone could access that area, the rugs in the home were always a hazard to my father and he fell constantly(no reports or notices were given to family) but he always had new injuries and bandages on. Nikki was constantly complaining that my father and family was an issue, we all were difficult, bossy, and also claiming the my daughter was stealing my dad’s supplies and medicine, but never gave us notice of any low meds until they were completely out!! She also threatened us multiple times in various ways.
On multiple occasions they would try to cover up his neglect with outrageous claims, he had 2 severe low blood sugar readings and didn’t call 911 and tried to cover it up before contacting us.
His extreme diet change after his arrival set his body into overdrive and ended up in the hospital having an emergency surgery but the physician claimed his lifestyle choices were the cause of this surgery!! Now who is covering for Nikki and Rocking Years 2 She is just $$ hungry and over her abilities and experience to be in this line of work!! 10 clients times $8750. Is a substantial amount of money!!!
I had cared for my father for 7+ years and he ate great balanced meals. What a bogus statement from an ER DR!
Again I WARN YOU, find a different place if you truly care about your family members.
If you were a client, would you deal with this? Our family members matter and we should do better, do our due diligence and always check up on that member, be active in their care, don’t always believe the owner and staff!!
