I was here for the Jingle Bell 5K and it looked like a very nice park with a cute nature center. I would like to come back when it is warm for walks. The trail is a little curvy and hilly and I would like to see more of it.

This is one of the best parks around as its great for disc golf, RC cars, mountain bikes, regular bikes, roller skates, etc. Its nice how it also connects to Dodge park too. In particular I like going for the mountain bike trails and concrete paths for electric skates. There are several places where you can go picnic and go to playgrounds.

Great place to get out and ride!

From beginner level through advanced level, this park has MTB trails to suit.

There are around 10 miles of MTB trails in this park. Most trails are fairly well marked, and are one-way.

Take a ride and see a variety of scenery and wildlife!

There is a bike repair station and there are restrooms onsite.

This is a popular park, so expect to encounter other outdoor enjoyers.

The main entrance has a separate nature area to the left, I didn't get a chance to check it our since they were not open at the time. There are quite a few baseball fields, a few playgrounds for kids. There is a long paved walking area around the park. There is an archery area, separate from th2 other areas of the park, and what appears to be a dirt bike challenge area for training. Beyond that, there is a gravel walkway that meanders behind the park, which takes you to th we river. Once near the river, there are extensive disk freebie stations. There are benches well spaced apart for resting and trails along the river. The park is well maintained, and I saw employees emptying the trash cans from the weekend.

I am fairly new to the area and just discovered this park and it is a pretty huge and amazing place, lots of walking paths, nature and even an RC off-road track. I'll need to bring my revo out here for some practice.

My friend and I walked the trail here today. It's so beautiful, and everything is so well-maintained and clean. Lots of different trails for biking or hiking, plus fields for sports and ample parking, are also available. I absolutely loved spending the morning here, and I will definitely be coming to explore more. Highly recommend coming here for a fun day out, very kid & dog friendly as well. Plus, this park is free.

Pretty solid spot to fish. There’s a trail that goes along the river all the way to Ryan St - where the DNR stocked 25k rainbow trout back in April. Would definitely recommend coming back to fish in the spring or fall when the weather gets cooler.

How is this park so good? It's just a city park but it really, REALLY feels like a state park. Easily accessible, plenty of parking, awesome play areas for kids, disc golf, pavilions for parties, a shooting range, a black powder shooting range (which is, admitted slightly annoying in other places in the park, but not that bad) an RC car track, archery range... There's just so much.

In addition to the build stuff, the river is SO great for wading and fishing and swimming the forested areas are beautiful, there's a ton of elevation change and a bunch of primary paths and sitting areas and paths that people have made themselves. The only reason it's not getting five stars is that there just are not a lot of restroom accommodations, either permanent or porta potties.

People are sleeping on this park. It's amazing. Easily, easily rivals any of the Metroparks and it's free.
