I just moved my mom out of one of their Houston locations ( Creek Bed Gardens). Over the years the place has roaches and bedbugs. During the normal business days you can’t find anyone in the office. Maintenance takes forever to get completed. During Hurricane there is no power in my mom’s unit for days and we could not find anyone to help. When we hired our own pest control company the guy said the entire building smells roaches. He suggested us moving out asap. After we moved out we be sure to leave the place super clean and had no issues per the property management. I called and emailed for our deposit refund and no one gets back to us. I even left voice mail with the vice president at the corporate office and never received any answers. I decided to forfeit my deposit refund when I discovered how many outstanding lawsuits this company has. All I want to say is if you care please don’t have your loved ones stay at any of RHF’s properties.

We have serious problems going on here at Pinehurst. I have begged, pleaded, for someone to come down and help. I have done all I can do short from reporting out of RHF. I love living here but I do have some great concerns that keep falling on deaf ears. Right now I’m hiding my car to avoid retaliation vandalism. I have a deep freeze, chair against a locked door with a Ring camera on it for my and my fellow neighbors safety. I have a camera in my apartment facing said door. I pay subscriptions on these because there are no cameras at the ends of the hall on floors 2 & 3. None of the camera hold audio. There is no camera in the office. Emergency Number is not being forwarded even though, that has been brought up so many times. Do you know how embarrassing it is to have Law Enforcement ask me how to get in touch with them and I have to call our Service Coordinator on Facebook Messenger? Documentation? I have it. Would someone PLEASE talk to me and get this place cleaned up without blowing smoke? I’m not trying to be a trouble maker. I just want to live in peace. It has NEVER been this bad.

They have a smoking area on property. It was too crowded so I went out front on a public sidewalk and public street. They came out there and said I couldn't smoke out there. So I go on with the things about them being public property. They actually believe that they own the sidewalks around their building and half the streets around their building. That is all except for the property that DEACONESS Hospital owns. Which is the other sidewalks and the other half of the streets located next to DEACONESS parking lot. By the way there is no smoking on DEACONESS PROPERTY no matter what it is. The managers at Independence Square tells their residents that they can go over onto DEACONESS PROPERTY and smoke as long as it's in your vehicle. Doesn't matter if you're in your vehicle or not. NO SMOKING ON DEACONESS PROPERTY MEANS NO SMOKING PERIOD.

I think what they are doing to help the seniors have affordable housing is absolutely awesome. These days we need all the kindness of others we can get..
However when it comes to dealing with any of the staff, thus far, has proven to not be so easy. Nobody answeres phones or returns calls or emails. They hire contractors to do certain jobs at other locations ( out of state) and then they breach the contract/agreement without formal or justified reasons and then refuse to pay so now it looks as though I'm going to have to deal with the courts to get my money and I'm not happy about it. And I'm in no way saying the entire staff is like this , just the small few I've been dealing with. I won't mention names.because I'm not trying to be ugly and petty but anyone hired to do work on their unit in any state I would tread lightly and be cautious. Maybe demand 1/2 upfront

Poor Customer Service. My car was damaged over one month ago by one of their Parking Attendants. They have not made fixing my car a Priority. They way they handled the Claim process has been one horrible nightmare. Especially since I went to the property to volunteer. I truly believe that the parking scratched my car purposely. I have Classic VW Convertible. My car was scratched with the lot full sign while the Parking Attendant was guiding me into a Parking Space. Instead of moving it all together held in his hand. I don't believe someone could be that stupid.

Regarding the Carbon Creek Shores location managed by this company.

This place states on the web site - Carbon Creek Shores is a smoke-free community. Anyone who lives there or really knows someone who lives there knows this is a LIE. The management company - RHF Retirement Housing Foundation knows that people are smoking here and they Refuse to evict them. People are suffering at this location. The management is spineless and weak and refuse to enforce the non smoking policy.

Hey, Rev. Laverne R. Joseph, D.D. , did you know that smokers are smoking inside the building? Stop by sometime unannounced and smell around the place. If you like, e mail me and I will meet you there. The management at that place is gutless and they are allowing people to suffer.
