Sadly animal control has been called, excuses... we only have a part-time animal control person, the police have been called...this community failed this great Dane on the corner of 6th and west Chippewas ... the great Dane was kept tied up without proper shelter, food and water...he is deceased laying in his yard half buried in the snow and nobody fought for that dog but some neighbors that kept reporting the neglect and abuse and nobody would remove the dog and the people that live there lied and said they bring them in to feed him

Adopted our beautiful baby from here. He is so smart and lovable. Instant love between all my animals especially him and the cat. He was everything they told us about and more. Staff was wonderful and they dont try to push an animal on you they want to make sure the fur baby is right for you.

Kitty that I had, just my opinion but felt she had so many homes. Even survived a mobile home fire.
We had to go on a list, but we were called. I'm feeling Luna, will get a good home now!!

Thanks to the whole gang at Rea Family Animal Shelter for helping us find our fur baby, Myla! She is a great addition to our family and the shelter was amazing every step of the way. They answered all our questions, educated us on what to expect and were SO friendly every time we came to visit Myla during the foster/adoption process. The staff and volunteers work extra hard to care for the animals and it really shows!

We have adopted three dogs from the shelter. The staff is amazing - very friendly and super knowledgeable. They really take the time to get to know their animals and give you all the information they have on them to help you make the most informed decisions. They truly want the best for the animals and their adopters and it shows! We absolutely cannot speak highly enough of Rea Family Animal Shelter!

I "surrendered" 3 adorable kittens to them after fostering their stray, very pregnant Mommy and finding good homes for the other 3. I am confident they will be very well taken care of and will be placed in good homes after their vet visit in May. They had several cats, but there was no smell. These people are very good with animals...❤️

Recently we adopted from rea and it's been terrific! The crew there was so informative and caring when we got our Ellie!! Ellie had been loved and well cared for while she was in there hands. Its obvious when we see there relationship with her,,, even after adoption. We visit now and then. Everyone there truly cares about the welfare of the animals. I highly recommend rea animal shelter for adoption
