I was actually able to calm down and regain control of my life. It's not easy and requires some soul searching. Make sure your goal is to fix you for you. Not for anyone else. Fix you, then assess what you want to do next. Working out, hanging with Sam the cat, and we went to a game as some of the fun stuff.

I'm grateful for Camp Hope, recently I left on my own and met the requirements to come back and get my stuff that I had packed up. All my stuff was stolen and ran through. I contacted staff, my mentor and everybody else I could contact and they gave me their ass to kiss and blamed me especially Oliver yep I call u out! U guys did absolutely nothing, I got back a few dirty tshirts and two pair of shoes but none of my valuables. Please don't treat Veterans that way just because they decide to leave, that may be the only stuff they have. I trusted people at Camp Hope but that left me feeling even more like I have to protect myself from hurtful people. Practice what you preach, u say stay connected and when I try to stay connected you day don't contact him, wtf is that about They Smile in your face and then something else behind closed doors. Crazy man! Just be Genuine not fake!

We toured the campus today after dropping off some needed items. I was very impressed by their campus and the quality of the people there. Camp Hope and our veterans really do need (and deserve!) our support.

As a former resident. "If one allows themselves, one will". No place is perfect no people are perfect, I do understand too that does not excuse flaws.
I was here for a year and did not plan to at most stay 10 months. In this time there were ups and downs, but I trusted and adhered to the program and made friends for whom I care and met people whose sincerity outweighs anything I thought was wrong with them.
Everyone doesn't make it all the way through everyone doesn't have something good to say about this place but this place has saved people whom I call friend and whom I have grown to respect. GV THNKS.

Great organization saved my husband Shane Hawthorne's life after he graduated he worked there he found God! Both my husband and I had addiction problems and he has PTSD we both been sober almost 5 years! Not only did it save my husband but myself and 2 boys who are now 16 and 19! We was broken with ourselves but as a family and with all the resources and support we are stronger then ever! Camp hope will always be family and have a big spot in our hearts! Not only do the help veterans with PTSD but also families and love ones! People might not like the program and people there but that's every where you go the program is to help no matter how many times! I hated the program I went to and it was nothing like Camp hope but at the end I appreciate every minute and the people because I needed the help! I love seeing all the reviews makes my heart happy we have such a big family now with people at and who we met at Camp hope! I know some reviews are old but I do want to say something I saw one about a guy name Shane taking food or meat that is being donated that Shane is my husband and yes we make enough to not hurt but there was times when there was a lot of meat and it was for Camp hope and families people wanted families to have some and never did anyone steal or not just take meats I know for a fact you don't get one meal or go hungry there! It would have been offer to your family to at the time! I just had to put that out there! I know it's hard on your veterans and the families when they go to the program for the first 30 days but the program works it did for my husband and so many! Love our big Camp Hope family God is great

Being a veteran, I think the concept is great, but actual practice it falls short.

Look at their San Diego location. Corporate needs to make some changes in staff

We have participated in a few rounds of donations to this wonderful organization that helps those coping with PTSD. With my Father having served in the Military and much respect for ALL that do, I'm thankful to be a part of such a great team of folks that truly make a difference! The grounds are very well kept, staff is friendly and inviting, the residents are well cared for. Counseling, therapy, service, activities, housing, etc, all provided for and with intent to heal. Great, great organization and we're so proud to be a part of!

They sure know how to drag a woman and her family through the mud. I have so much proof this organization is NOT what they claim it to be. They will take every effort to show a man how to divorce his wife and take everything from her. I have screenshots from emails from the mentors showing how devious they are. I've never felt so ashamed and so discarded as when my husband was at this facility. Not once did they reach out to me and just say, "Hi I see you". Instead they equipped my husband with every tool necessary to make my life miserable. Good job Camp Hope for being the camp of NO hOPe. I hope other women will speak out against what happened to them while their man was at this terrible place of so-called healing. I am sure I'm not the only one.
