Beware if you are a musician. I have had great interactions with the Provincial(Oakmont previously) in the past but after they had me wait over a month and a half for a payment over an issue that could've easily been avoided I decided to stop performing there. None of the other retirement homes I play for had this issue. Be wary of performing here if you want to get paid on time.

Nice staff, clean, hard working staff, Warm safe environment. Affordable compared to others. Nice outside patio. This is definitely independent living. If you need assistance you will have to hire an outside agency. The food is just ok. The snacks are leftovers and undesireable. I think more budget needs to go to the chef. ( I will admit my brother is picky)

Oakmont was a wonderful choice for our family. My husband’s aunt was placed there when we could no longer have her living at home. We hired senior assistance living to come in and help. Pam and her crew were so great about checking in on her and giving us the rest assurance that she was safe and living a happy life at Oakmont. The property of Oakmont was always accommodating to our visits. Great shady places to sit.

I don’t often write reviews, but I’m going to now. I have visited the Oakmont a few times and I’m impressed. I can’t believe how much the Chico community is so involved with this place. The Girl Scouts come visit the Oakmont and what a great opportunity for the girls and the residents to have quality time together.
Love seeing the young girls and the residents sharing time together.
This place is so inviting and cooperative. Thank you Oakmont and Chico.

my grandmother had the luxury of staying here. she absolutely loved her time here & the ambience was very welcoming. the classical music is a nice touch. the residents/ staff are all very sweet & welcomed her with open arms. thank you for being so kind. i wish her stay could have been longer!

I recently had the opportunity to visit Oakmont Retirement Home, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with both the landscaping and the wide range of activities available to residents.

Furthermore, my mom is at Oakmont, and it's clear that she would not have been able to stay living independently if it wasn't for Pam and her dedicated crew. They go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and support to residents like your my mom, creating a warm and nurturing environment.

Oakmont Retirement Home is a true haven for retirees, and the exceptional care provided by Pam and her team adds an extra layer of comfort and peace. Well, I can't speak to what its like to live there, but the upper management is blatantly rude and uncaring. Stopped by to see a friend, didn't know what room he was in. There's a little desk and reception area in the front, but it was unmanned. Management office was directly behind me with about 6 people standing around talking, so I peeked through the door. They literally shut the door in my face. I waited to see if anyone came to the reception desk, but no one did. I was staring through the window at the staff in the management office, but they could not care less. I finally just walked over and cop-knocked on the door that I could still SEE THEM ALL STANDING BEHIND. To their credit, one guy actually answered the door, and asked what I wanted, so I was able to inconvenience them enough to get my friend's room number to take him a gift. Definitely not warm, caring, or friendly.

The Oakmont is a lovely place to be. It is homey, quiet, not too big where you don't get to know everybody, and is, like most things, what you make of it.
You can choose to be quiet and reclusive, or attend all the events and programs - there is no pressure. The staff is there to assist and they get to know everyone and care about each resident.
The grounds are beautiful so there is a pleasant walk right there! Public planter boxes are available for sowing seeds and there are activities to keep your day busy and full.
