I had arrived at this place not even two weeks and my experience here was terrible, Daniella, Should be replaced for her position she is very disrespectful, she has her favorite clients there is too much conflict of interest, there is a lot of racism in this dorm, I have a 6 year old that was disciplined because there is a client that carries her self as a male, My daughter had to apologize of what was confused and mistaken for but, nothing was corrected of the racial comment that was said in the dorm by this particular client,.I also witnessed she is very ugly with the elder she treats them very bad Daniella is very unprofessional, I was seeking a good life and a good start for me and my daughter and it turned out to be a big night mare, It's sad when you have to call the authorities in to help with the situation when the manager likes to yell and be disrespectful to clients like myself , elders, and kids that don't know what's going on in a adult life you don't just yell and threaten you be kind and help the community not take advantage and be who you think you are because you have that title, you need to be mindful to others but that was not in this facility and I feel they should separate mothers with kids and single woman apart because you can't control people's personality or conversations in the dorm that was also brought up to Daniela and that was no help as well, Thanksgiving was the worst year for me and my daughter it was ruined the day we went in to that community room Daniela said no marijuana well there was a lot of that going on and I am not against that but make it make sense if you going to get one you have to be balance and get the other and she was siding just one side and I felt and I seen a lot of that and what even more sad the cop had to send a report to my daughters school for counseling what happened last night and I feel I should take it further because I am very strict on my parenting and I am a good mother at that and what I seen in this facility something needs to be done because I feel this program is false advertising and I will start with daniela first I blame her because she is the manager and it very disappointing because she doesn't know how to put structure in this type of field. Another thing I don't care of your boyfriend smokes weed and your allergic to the matter I am working on me and daughter to get in to a decent home I am not very interested in people's love life I am interested about how me and my daughter getting a place and keeping my daughter out of the cold that's my main priority not relationships..... Period If you have kids I don't recommend this facility you will have to be gone from 7:45 am - 5:00 pm and I am going to tell you it's cold very cold outside for your kids to be out there if you come here make sure you the only one homeless this facility is not build for families. The community room is cold as well. Thanks to a wonderful person I meet here and I am not disclosing any names but, this person is wonderful in every way if it wasn't for her and her husband my daughter and I would of been left in the cold , We got kicked out by Daniella at 7 pm at night in December and it's 40 degrees outside, she didn't care if she doesn't have a heart don't bring your kids there she was very evil for doing that, To me I seen that Daniella also needs alot of growing up to do herself, she is a grown woman but a mind of a teenager when she is in that facility, she is only helpful to the people she clicks with and picked that up as well this is my feedback to my experience and hope anything happens there similar to my situation I will be glad to vouch for this something needs to be done.

Everyone who reads my reviews knows I am straight forward, honest and I try to give a review with an open mind but reviewing this place is very personal to me. I'm going to make myself vulnerable and put it all out there which isn't easy to do but life isn't always easy nor is it fair. Now to my review....
My journey through hardship and despair to finding hope and stability at Prescott Area Shelter Services (PASS) has been a powerful testament to resilience and the transformative impact of community support. I vividly remember the challenges I faced when I found myself homeless, for the first time in my life, after moving to Prescott Valley, Arizona.
It all started in Colorado Springs, where I bravely confronted traumatic experiences of sexual assault and domestic violence. I reached out for help, but despite my efforts, I ended up without a place to stay when I moved. The scorching heat in Arizona made everything worse, affecting both my physical and mental health. There were moments of deep despair, and I even ended up in jail.
But in the midst of these dark times, something changed on my birthday. Thanks to Danielle's compassionate assistance, I finally secured a bed at PASS. That moment marked a turning point in my life. PASS not only provided me with shelter but also with a supportive community that genuinely cared about my well-being.
Since arriving at PASS, my life has transformed in remarkable ways. Having a bed, regular meals, and a supportive environment gave me the stability I needed to start rebuilding my life. In just over a month, I've made significant progress—I've found a job, and started saving money. But more importantly, I've found hope and a sense of purpose again.
My experience shows just how crucial shelters like PASS are in breaking the cycle of homelessness. Beyond the basics, PASS offers emotional support and resources that empower people to regain their independence and self-worth. I'm incredibly grateful to Carmen, Danielle, and the entire PASS team for their dedication and compassion, which have made such a difference in my life.
My story is a reminder of why it's so important for the community and businesses to support shelters like PASS. Whether through donations, grants, or volunteering, every contribution helps change lives and offer hope to those facing homelessness. My journey is proof of the incredible impact of kindness and solidarity in rebuilding lives and restoring dignity.

Prescott Area Shelter Services has provided hope to many in need. I have worked professionally with both Carmen & Katee. The wait list is reasonable and they give encouragement for independent living quickly. As a like minded organization we partner together often in trying to find help and local resources for individuals & families in crisis. Thank you for your dedication to serving this population!

Amy Is the Best and most Caring to Everyone and a Wonderful Soul. But as a Chance to get in. That's another story The man that decides if you get in Is a Control freak and if he doesn't like you then good luck!!! It's humbling enough without having to wait in the creak area And You get Kicked out If he sees you 1 or 2 minutes before 6:00 !!! Its hard enough being without your home let alone some man Belittling you playing favorites and thinking he's God!

This place is very bad!!! heaven forbid you step foot in their kitchen!!! They all want to be the only one in it!!!! stole my stuff!! Cult-like activities, inhumane, and bossy. If you don't have a bad record you will get harassed!!! The volunteers here make up rules as they go and they are allowed to treat certain women like sh***! I was always getting bossed around by other women that stayed here who did not let me do my chore, who threatened me and harassed me every time I ate dinner and refused to let me help out with bringing int he donated meals for dinner. I did not get to eat any food their from the fridge marked "community food." and I was contently stared at by all the other women and accused of being paranoid when I brought to the attention of Merissa , a staff member, with didn't care to listen to me or tell them to leave me alone. One of them was kicking me and even shoving into me everytime I walked through the door to the community room, laughing at me. i even had a witness to the harassment, named Nasadia who told them to leave me alone and another women who got harassed from staiying there and left to as to the women who was kicking and shoving into me. I called Merissa back and told her this and that she need to talk to them for me and stop doing that , and she started to get scared and she did.
Two nights later i got yelled at by one of the volunteers for askinf to cook some rice and accuse of not "waiting my turn to use the pot to cook my food." when I clearly was, standing all the way on the opposite side of the kitchen. I complained by calling the staff memebers and leaving a message on the phone and also a message from Catholic Charities and then later got retaiated against and pushed down the ground by five police cops for trying to file a police report on my phone. Then I was harassed several times over again about how I WAS NOT ALOUD, TO COME BACK, BURN DOWN THE BUILDING, SNEAK IN, STEAL FROM THEM OR BE ON THEIR PROPERTY> UM excuse me, but I have a CLEAN RECORD. AND I WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!! I am not a registered arsonist and i don't want to hurt anybody, I am not the type to steal or break-in or get my revenge. I am completely harmless and just want to get on my feet!!!! I wasn't expecting to go through all of this at a homeless shelter and especially not after asking to cook some rice!!! And if you come here and eat their dinner or share food in general, just be willing to put up with their garbage and be harassed about it like I was. TO learn all the made-up rules that somehow only apply to you, like having your towel taken away from you from a volunteer and being told you are the only one who has to leave the community room early, five minutes before every one else at 9:55pm instead of 10:00pm. It doesn't take five minutes to lock their community room. I am not some kind of free entertainment!!!!

Thankful for the room when my daughter, granddaughter and I needed it, however, this shelter caters more to rehabbing women who cannot tolerate children around and are very caddy and intrusive in everybody's business.
