Update:
Just received notice from Duke energy that the PCUL just pledged a tidy sum to pay off my bill and then some for next bill. I am so grateful! God bless you all for your help and compassion!!! ? I finally received a call back from the PCUL. Thank the Lord! I was really getting anxious as I hadn’t heard anything and received my disconnect notice today! They approved me for IHEAP, and called back to let me know it had been guaranteed to Duke. I am so grateful! God bless you all for your help! My ac ran my bill to outrageous amounts. I finally got my landlord to replace it! Thank you!!!! ?

I Marcus Holmes take exceptional appreciation of the pinellas county Urban League. They were closed and 2 kind people first Malcolm Flakes and Brenda Chambliss were off the clock gave me the best assistance I've ever experienced in my 49 years of life by helping me with some emergency matters. I would like to thank them again and whoever employed them because they made the best decisions in an employee that you can make. Thank you antonette! With proper documentation provided to them, I only had to submit a handful of documents and a few days later I got a notification from duke energy that I received assistance. It was easy and it didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all. I’ve never had to apply for assistance before and I appreciate how seamless they made this for me. It’s so nice to know there are resources out there to get you through in times of need.

The lady that works in the part that helps with the electric bill is sooo rude and uncompassionate !!! And she’s also judgmental she should not be in that position we shouldn’t feel judged seeking help !!! And she always acts like everybody is aggervating her get a new job if you don’t like what you do your clearly in it for the money

I just got the first Christmas present I've gotten in YEARS. I asked for some financial assistance for my electric bill from the Urban League. I got an email from the Administrative Assistant telling me all the documents they needed in order to start the process.(ie ID/Birth Certificate for each household member as well as socials and proof of income as well as what I pay for my rent) most of the paperwork I had but Ulunfortunately it took a while to get the info for my rental paperwork to come in. As soon as I got it I emailed it to the Administrative Assistant. She got it and said she would forward it to my case manager and they would call me in a few weeks.I hadn't received a call or email back and then out of the blue this morning I got a text from Duke Energy saying that my ENTIRE balance was paid by The Urban League. Thank you sooooo much for what you do and all your help!
