I Would Love to see NEW 2024-2025,
Reviews.
I Only had one meeting to get help with Utilities in 2024, at the center they sent me to & the Lady was Very Respectful & Kind.
She Treated me more like a Friend she hadn't seen in years,
Not intimidating & stripping you of your integrity like most others, that say they can help & after 3hrs of waiting your overlimit of income by $30 BECAUSE OF COLA (COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT).
But she was able to help me through COPE & got my Utilities PAID in FULL.

NOT ONLY THAT she Also gave me some Food I NEEDED & and card for over the counter medicine, etc. I needed for one of my prescriptions that causes dehydration quickly, so I require pedialyte, which gets more & more expensive.
She went ABOVE and BEYOND to HELP me, which brought me to Tears 😢 😭,

BUT Tears of JOY that there IS STILL SOMEONE WHO CARES WITH ALL THEIR HEARTS 💕 💞 ♥️ ❤️ 💓 💖 💕 About YOU AND SEES YOU.
NOT ABOUT HOW YOU GOT INTO CIRCUMSTANCES, especially for those on a SET INCOMES where Most Now live Literally Penny to Penny Not because of mismanagement, But due to cost of EVERYTHING GOING UP Especially Rent, in 2 years mines Gone up $200 & Waiting to see if it'll go UP this year.

AGAIN & AGAIN, AGAIN, I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR KEEPING MY ELECTRIC & GAS ON.

Fabulous staff of tax professionals ready to do your taxes at no charge if you make less than 57000 a year. This saved me $300 for tax prep as well as I'm getting a $200 refund that I never get. And they"re so nice about it!

Pikes Peak United Way is a wonderful organization that supports non-profits and individuals in the community. They also do a tremendous amount of work each day through 2-1-1 and can pivot for the greatest need at any time. I am also proud to be part of a workplace campaign that supports this organization.

I used your volunteer tax service for 2020 & just got a bill from the irs for underpayment of my taxes. I paid what your “professionals” told me to pay however this was in error! Your “professionals” argued over my return & did not give me a copy because their printer wasn’t working. If you’re going to offer a service, perhaps you should vett your volunteers better and do more than pretend they’re professional. I will never have anything to do with your organization again.

As of now this is a sad review. We made an appointment for 9am the following day. Lady called to let us know we were the only appointment and if we aren't going to make it then to call. Well we showed up for our appointment 20mins early and left 20mins after our scheduled appointment. We called twice to ask if she was on her way. Nothing. It's now almost an hour past and still no message. Not a good look and very unprofessional. Even when I'm in the ER I still have made calls to let others know my status if they are waiting on me.

I applaud the amazing work being done In Southeast Colorado Springs by the community and United Way. The Family Success Center will open in August and it’s going to be incredible in enriching family stability and youth success.

Why is the city council meet and greet such a secret. Neither united way or the city council are advertising this event. Pretty fishy. Definitely trying to suppress access to it.
