If you want to volunteer or are somewhat needing nourishment yet on hard budget the People Fridge are truly YOUR PEOPLE! Getting in touch with the pulse of Merced 24/7, no judgement or cost (donations of cash are also welcome in the plexiglass piggy bank on Saturday extra sharing time which will change coming Mother's day weekend to 9am-10am, better than any farmers market! It's midnight, no cash, nothing open & no food at home.. anytime just see what's happening inside people fridge..didn't you get the sliced apples in a bag, some peanut butter to spread on them or cheese to garnish with.. possible in the fridge, if not do you like tomato soup or grew too many tomatoes so bring to share, or left over great buy to try on family yet nobody likes them so take to donate at the People Fridge. Have to say Erin is missed from seeing her smile & laugh, and Steve's really cool guy with such knowledge, but there only 1 Ortencia and super thoughtful lady with Grace for sure. Many more names or sometimes never a name just the face with a smile. If you're able to see the pain of feeling hungry because of hard times and keeping humble people fridge has blessed Merced by example for neighbors alike. Count your blessings and be greatful. I am. Ty.
