Donated 100% of ebay sales to a 501c3 charity and then learned that ebay sends the donations to PP Giving Fund, with whom I've had bad experiences in the past. Months later, PPGF STILL hasn't handed over the donations to the charity I designated. And eBay refuses to do anything about it even though I told them I would only ship the very valuable items if they promised me they'd be responsible to pay the charity themselves if (when!) PPGF failed to do so. Now of course EBAY is refusing as well, even though I have recorded proof they promised otherwise. I'm done with eBay and will never trust Giving Fund. They should lose their nonprofit status.

I too made a donation to a charity using PayPal. Before I caught it, there were numerous charges for.both $25 and $50 to my Visa, under the name of PPGF. I have deleted my PayPal account and will never use it again and have filed a claim with BofA. This is such a scam.

Fraudulent, deceptive and non-responsive. I tried to donate to a small charitable organization through Paypal and got tricked into my funds going to "Paypal Giving Fund." My intended charitable organization did not receive the money and there is no way to communicate with from "Paypal Giving Fund" to resolve the issue. How do the people operating this scam sleep at night?

Horrible. We have had a charity account for years with PayPal, but can't access PayPal giving. We can't access any of our donations, multiple attempts to resolve this issue have gotten us nowhere and we still don't have our donations or a resolution. We have been trying to resolve this issue for 3 months.

This is just another case of a for profit entity inserting itself into the nonprofit world and getting between donors and charities. Their process for charities is ridiculously cumbersome. This just serves to further negatively impact my view of Paypal. I also discovered that they troll Charity Navigator and other sources for the names of charities to add to their directory. They do this without consulting with the charity. Go away!

I donated to a small charity, Paypal re-routed the money to Paypal Giving Fund. PGF kept the money, donation tracking is suspended.
How is an organization like this one still legal in the US?

Fraudulent, taking unauthorised payments. Provide no evidence of transaction, passed around departments when called. Offered goodwill voucher rather than dealing with issue. Agreeing to refund and then reneging on agreement. Crooks!
