I’m going to give them 5 stars because I have been forced to prove beyond a reasonable doubt my disability & need for a Service Dog where I live. These ladies were so wonderful to speak with understanding the judgement people give to persons such as myself with a hidden disability.

After proper medical information was provided & approval before I could even buy my place, 3 years later I was once again made to prove I’m disabled & being told I needed to have a certified service dog. Absolutely, not true & I should’ve never had to prove my disability or need for another Service Dog as they told me from the first time I had been approved.

My disability will not change. I do not qualify for the Service Dogs, Paws With A Cause trains for. I have trained my own & both ladies gave me such valuable information, much of what I’ve already known because of what I’ve painfully endured. They also have said they allow “retired” service animals to remain in the home when a new one is brought in. Always should be the case if the person is capable of being able to do so.

They are knowledgeable, empathetic and so very compassionate with what I’ve been through. If my disability progresses to a point where I fall under their disability qualifications for a Service Dog when my other retires, I may apply if I so desire.

People don’t understand the amount of time and effort it takes to train a service dog. Mine I have was blessed including myself, to have my other service dog help when she gave us 15 more months after being told she had hours to days to live.

I wish more people would educate themselves instead of saying they know someone who works with this place and then call into question a persons disability. Thank you ladies for your awesomeness and letting me know, I’m doing it the best I can on my own & legally allowed too!

Absolutely amazing facility! Tony was kind enough to give us a tour and thoroughly explain their entire process with service dogs. The entire process that PAWs goes through for service animals is very impressive! Thank you for the tour!

Got denied for a dog that I quite literally NEED and don’t have money for one. When I went to a event that Paws was holding I spoke with their representative who told me I would be a perfect fit and that I would be pretty much guaranteed a dog with how bad my condition is. Then I proceeded to get a letter in the mail saying that I didn’t qualify because my health issues were something that their dogs don’t help with. (I proceeded to email them about how I had gotten rejected, and referenced a Facebook post showing the things they have their service dog doing -which was literally everything I needed- and they then changed their reasoning for why I was denied to “they don’t have enough dogs and It was between me and another person” even though I had several doctors and people writing letters for me because of how bad my case is and how bad I need a dog.) I feel very uncared for and like no one cares about the condition even with many people telling them. I wouldn’t suggest them especially if your very desperate for a dog. Also I have no idea how I’m going to afford a dog now by myself when I need one asap because my condition is only worsing by the minute.

Honestly where do I start. This program offers "free" service dog training and things yet their requirements are ridiculous. They refused to work with me, because I don't have a seizure every month even though I was diagnosed with a seizure disorder. I take medications to keep me from having seizures to keep me alive. The person I got my seizure disorder from actually just passed away 2 months ago as of tomorrow of the same seizures I have. This place disgusts me because they are trying to put other peoples severity of their disorder over others. If I were you, I wouldn't even waste time on their application unless you're on your death bed. If I had a seizure at least once a month for a minimum of one year, I would be DEAD.
