I am a local pharmacy technician and regularly refer my patients to Passages for help navigating medicare problems. They have always been helpful in this regard and are a valuable resource to the community. They also hire through the college, thus providing a great opportunity for students to learn about the Chico area and what resources are available. Keep up the good work everyone!

My experience today was very disappointing. I was calling to inform PASSAGES of an important loss affecting local seniors in our area. I was a Social Worker for Adult Services in the past and knew that PASSAGES would want to be aware of this.
As a Social Worker we depended on PASSAGES as the filtering house for information regarding our Senior Services.
Today, the young person who answered wasn’t aware of the PEG TAYLOR CENTER, so I explained what it was and that I was calling to inform PASSAGES of its closing.
She seemed confused about what to do. So I asked if there was someone else. The man I spoke with also didn’t know what I was talking about.
As a senior myself, with so few agencies helping seniors, this is pitiful. This agency should be aware of every facility in our town and county that assists the aged and disabled. Are any of the workers seniors? This is an agency for seniors, it seemed like they might be students. People who aren’t local and don’t know our area.
This is NOT OKAY. It’s not enough. I protest.
