I've heard this place is great but my experience trying to get information was anything but. If their wait-list is 6-9 months, they should LEAD with that in the conversation. What they shouldn't do ask someone that recently lost a love one to relieve the trauma by phone, only to tell them 15 minutes into the call that grief support isn't available until months later. It's dangerous to play this game with people in crisis.

It was an honor to be part of Camp Erin LA and I look forward to being a volunteer again next year. The wonderful caring staff and volunteers give 110% of themselves to create a healing place for children. I was truly in awe of their ability to provide a safe place for children to deal with their grief, provide tools to assist them in the future and create a fun and exciting place for the to play. It was extremely rewarding to watch the children arrive on Friday with a variety of mixed emotions and leave on Sunday with brightly shinning eyes and smiling faces. I feel truly blessed to be part of Camp Erin LA and can hardly wait for next summer.

Our House helped me get through the most difficult time in my life -- losing my baby sister who was my best friend. Their facilitators were kind, loving and compassionate and made the meetings feel safe and non-judgmental. I especially loved the visioning board that they suggested we create for our loved ones that we had lost, which was extremely therapeutic. I love that they have specific groups. I was in a group for individuals who had lost a sibling. Without hesitation, I have recommended them to friends who have lost a loved one.

I volunteered at two camps this past summer. I didn't think that my second visit to Camp Erin could possibly top my first experience, but I was pleasantly surprised. Both weekends left me feeling hopeful, appreciative, and fulfilled. I learned new things about the grief process every day through my experiences with the kids, and I continue to be blown away by their resilience. Our House's efforts should not go unnoticed - the staff do a phenomenal job at providing the kids with a fun and safe space to deal with their grief. I am literally counting down the days until Camp Erin 2017!

I lost my father to Pancreatic Cancer 2018. My father was my everything. I wanted to join my father, I only kept myself alive for my mother. My father's Hospice recommended Our House, then I had a meeting at SAG-AFTRA with a Social worker. She also recommended me Our House. I called and made an appointment. The environment was very peaceful. I had a good feeling about it. Then I got a call and my grief group session started on January 3rd. Nine months of Our House, made me feel like a normal person avoiding all the criticism of my grieving process from family/friends/others.
Our group bonded and at the end, everyone opened up. Our group still meets once a month, sometimes every other month. But we are all there for each other.
My brother unexpectedly passed away in February 25th. I am handling this situation better, since I learned the tools from Our House sessions.
I didn't find a time to leave a voice mail about Our House experience because of the timing of my brother's passing. I need to find an Our House location close to Glendale. Because my brother's tween sister, really needs the help. She is going through, what I went through....
Thank you Our House for all you do, you save many of our grieving tortured souls...

Our House is a blessing. I have been struggling for some time with the death of my parents. I didn't have the network to talk to. My friends and wife wanted to help and support me but didn't understand how. After a few months at Our House I knew this was the place I was looking for. I am a better person able to deal with grief and my personal & professional life are thriving thanks to Our House. The lessons I've learned and the support I've received from other participants has helped me through this tough time. I am very grateful for them and highly recommend this to anyone struggling with the grief of losing a loved one.

Our house is a very special place. After my fiancé died I was terrified. I had never felt such pain or isolation. I did not know how I would survive. Our house knew that about me the moment I walked in. It was the only place I felt safe. the women that worked with me, are angels, for whom I will always be grateful. Our house is a remarkable home for healing, and discovery. It has left a profound mark in my life and in my heart. If you have lost someone you cannot live without, Our house will hold your hand and gently guide you through the journey to find your soul and the soul of the one you've lost. Give yourself the gift of our house. You need to feel the compassion of people who will face grief with you. You need a bridge to support you and guide you. Our House is that bridge.

Many years ago when I lived in LA, I suffered multiple family deaths in a very short period of time. I was informed there was no place for me since I had been "grieving too long." Thanks for nothing.
