Always trying to collect money back and scare people accusing "fraud"! Hoping to discourage people, and to even fight the inaccuracies you make people have to appeal it ,have a phone court hearing with a judge, or have no options and the money is just taken back. This is why there is an application and approval process, in which you must review information and proofs. You seem to make mistakes approving people, then yell fraud later and have outrageous amounts of money you want back. Alot of people don't know how to do all the appeal process paperwork or think THEY made a mistake, when it's actually MDHHS who has made a "mistake". Why don't you stop the non sense and taking people's money for benefits YOU approved? Especially when they already have so little? What YOU approve, you try taking back later and conveniently around tax season too.

Wasn't there a class action lawsuit for this is exact non sense? Think there should be another one... MDHHS is NOT there to help.

Not surprised only seeing a 2 star rating. Thought there would be way more though. Hmmm. Anyway Mdhhs is useless to help certain people . Don't care if your w/ out power in winter and freeze. If you have kids maybe it's no questions asked , then they are obligated to help, but adults in need they don't care. They make things more complicated then they need to in order to discourage and deter you from asking for the help. Ask for everything but your blood type. Ask for information you already provided or were asked about an application or proofs of every single thing, even things that really have no relevance or would make s difference in what you are inquiring about. Can't keep it simple. Many of the requests for proofs not only being irrelevant, are usually items you already provided not long ago that wouldn't of changed or been updated since.
Very unethical organization. Not helpful. And any other "resource" they lust to "assist/help" just takes you right back to mdhhs, so your really going through and applying with them anyway. These "resources" just have their name on it, but they are not separate or independent. I guess there aren't any. They all go through the same place, same application. So they aren't other resources for assistance at all. What a joke.

This is the best DHS office I have ever dealt with. As far as others not qualifying, that is not this offices fault. I also do not qualify for Medicaid however I do not blame one office. The staff here are always courteous and office is conveniently located. Office area is very clean and organized. My particular worker is amazing and frequently answers the phone when you call. That is a real rarity. She is amazing! Also very kind.
She also explained to me today that they are having caseworkers soon that specifically answer calls to work on people's cases. That is coming at the end of August, 2018.
If you have a beef with the fact that you don't qualify, get the politicians to change laws. Don't bash the office that has nothing to do with policy except enforcing it.

It says your office is open today and I called and the recording says it is not. Also it asks for your case workers #...when we don't have specific workers anymore.
