So glad we stumbled into OCCOA and especially Charlie Mays. When we retired we had no clue about Social Security, Medicare, Medicare Advantage plans and the like. Charlie literally saved our behinds with solid, well-reasoned advice for us to find a program that met our needs. OCCOA is caring and welcoming.

I was disappointed in how difficult it was to reach out them when my elderly veteran friend was in dire need of help. I was very frustrated that it took four days of walk-ins and countless phone calls before I actually spoke to anybody to let them know my friend(their client) was deathly ill and in serious need of help. They ran me around in phone call circles before I finally found somebody that did come to my home to check up on my friend. Unfortunately it was all in vain and too late because by the time any action came to my friend he was hospitalized and passed away. I can't blame anyone person in this, but if I had been heard sooner he might still be alive.
