Operation Remount is such an amazing program. The program taught me how to control my emotions better. I also learned a more gentle way of training a horse. Kelly brings in all kind of experts. If he didn’t know an answer he would find out for us. When I left this program I had a better understanding of how to control my PTSD. Plus I have a new best friend. Thank you Kelly and Karen for this wonderful opportunity.

One of the most amazing programs for vets! Kelly and Karen take every safety precaution and all priority sights on those that come in/out of the program. Being selected for the program was such an honor. Kelly is an amazing tutor! Everyday I’m thankful to look out my window and see my best friend waiting at the gate for me. All of it would never have happened without Kelly and Karen’s help!

This is a fabulous program. Working with wild mustangs from day one is extremely therapeutic and being walked through the process with individuals at this program was extremely eye opening. I would highly recommend this to anyone struggling with PTSD.

I have followed this organization since the beginning. It is a wonderful program with compassionate people. I have recommended this program to my friends that are vets, and law enforcement. I have gone to a graduation ceremony and presented coins from Wyoming Patriot Guard Riders. Above and beyond for our Vets, Law Enforcement, First Responders. They do amazing things with the animals as well.

I retired from the Army after 21 years and was fortunate enough to get acquainted with Kelly and Karen Alexander and Operation Remount Corporation. I was thoroughly impressed with their passion and desire to develop a program that pairs Veterans and first responders who have experienced PTSD with green Mustangs. I’ve had Soldiers under my command that to this day deal with demons from deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, and I have recommended Operation Remount to several of them with the hope this program would be beneficial. Operation Remount is family oriented and Kelly brings in amazing facilitators to work with the participants and Mustangs. It’s unfortunate that a handful of participants have disparaged this organization due to personal self implosion. This program takes effort, and you get out of it what you put into it. Kelly provides a healthy learning environment so participants can focus on themselves and their horses. For Veterans and First Responders who may read this review, I highly recommend Operation Remount as a Segway to regaining life balance with the help of a Mustang!

Operation Remount was a blessing for me. After leaving the military in 2021, I felt lost both mentally and spiritually from my own experiences in Afghanistan. After losing what I felt like was my best identity in service, I had a difficult time focusing on the “hear and now”. Then I met Kelly, Karen, and Joel. They welcomed us, fed us, and spoke to us as if we were family.

I was a bit afraid to step into a pen with a Mustang, but after some positive guidance and detailed class instruction, I quickly realized I was just afraid of failing. The horse wasn’t the issue, I was getting in my own head and ultimately my own way. Day by day Kelly and Joel worked with our group to push past our own personal limits and gain the trust of our Mustang.

To this day, this program taught me more about myself and where my personal limits actually are, than anything else I have attempted in my life. I could not complete the course due to an unforeseen medical issue, but I do miss being there and working with my Mustang. I have the tag I took off “Sixty” displayed on my rear view mirror of my truck. It’s my most prized possession and experience. I will always cherish what I learned, and how much I have applied those healing’s experienced in my everyday life.

I love Karen and Kelly! The ranch is absolutely beautiful! The horses are very well kept for, and the accommodations for people in the program are top of the line. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

I was in the 2022 class. I learned a lot about horses and even more about myself. I still have my horse and we have an unbelievable bond. Kelly is a great guy and puts his whole heart into Operation Remount. I wanted to give back to the program that helped me so much that I decided to be one of the mentors in the spring of 2023 class along side Brian. Now don't get me wrong I'm no horse whisperer but what I do know is worth passing along. Every time I go out there witch is a lot I learn something new. So if you are thinking about doing this program please check them out. The only advice I will give is be dedicated and open minded. Listen to the instructors and mentors. Above all build that bond with your horse and have fun.
