Finally made time to post this review. I’m incredibly disappointed at Open Door “Mission”. What is the mission part? I referred a family member to Open Door and after only a month he was unjustly kicked out of the program for eating a pudding for God’s sake. After getting my family member’s version of the story he said the pudding was part of the gifts he and others had received from other churches they visited with Open Door during the Christmas holidays. What seemed clear to my husband and I is that Open Door finds any excuse to kick people out of their program to make room for more and claim they are welcoming a certain amount of people every year. It was disheartening to hear they claim to be a Christian organization who receives people like our family member who desires to be supported in strengthening their relationship with the Lord. They are truly not representing the mission of Jesus on Earth. They are dishonest and do not deserve all the donations from the mega churches in Houston including the one we attend. We will speak to the pastor of our church about our incident as they had originally recommended Open Door Mission.

The open door mission is such a great place. they will take a man who is willing and wanting to change they're direction in life and give them the opportunity to do so.they put a roof over your head, will put clothing on your back and make sure you don't go hungry.the rest of the work is up to you.they will help you get back on God's team.

This place is a cult. There are drugs and alcohol there. Brainwashing at its best. Making you believe there is only one way to get and stay sober. Most of the staff are arrogant and self centered. Supposedly its a muti millione dollar rehab while the higher ups drive brand new expensive cars while the food is stale sub sandwiches and slop.

This is not the recovery center you want to send your friends or family to. Poorly trained ex addicts trying to run a program, but have a very low success rate.

My husband came for some help and was turned away because of his back ground. Seems they only help perfect people. But if you were perfect why would you need help. Sad! Help everyone don't discriminate and judge people.

The front gate staff were so kind and courteous to us. The same day clinic staff and doctors are amazing! They really go the extra mile to make sure your medical needs are taken care of. Thank you!
