Me and my 4 siblings spent a couple of years here, no abuse, it's strict, but I'm sure it has to be with all the children here, it was a sad time for us to be away from our parents, but I guess it is what it is when things happen beyond our control

This facility provides a much-needed service for our community. The young women who are served by this agency are usually not there by choice. However, the staff does a wonderful job in an environment that is challenging in many ways. This facility has touched the lives of many, many individuals. The impact that organizations such as this have on our society is incalculable.

Being in this group home was the absolute worst thing that ever happened to me in my life. It wasn't my fault i was in there, but they still treated me like a criminal. This place is not a home. It's a children's prison. The staff are very rude and do not care about the kids at all. The boys home staff is very negligent of the kids. They do not check on sick children or offer them food. Mr. Graham is the absolute BEST staff member that the open door home could ever offer. He is the only one who actually cares for the children. He makes sure that all of their needs are met. I would love to call out the worst staff, but i won't. The open door home is NOT A HOME. I was so miserable, so depressed, and i was literally stripped of my rights.

Please consider donating extra luggage and suitcases to the kids. Be mindful… decent shape.

they need to stop playing and unlock them kitchens when people wanna eat and are hungry. my bestfriend is there and they lock the kitchen because they don’t “feel like unlocking it” as far as I heard this place drains mental health. these people ain’t got NO decorum, straight GHETTO.

Hi my birth name is briannah painter, open doors was the ONLY group home or placement I liked while in foster care I'm seeing negative reviews but know most of them are coming from people who couldn't get away with everything, I was a trouble maker I smoked weed snuck vapes in kept my room a mess pitched fits self harmed and raged yet open doors continued to show me so much love and support me the staff were amazing especially Ms reci and Mr Jayden they made that group home feel like a home. I ignorantly ran away not realizing the privileges I had, such as having a phone, home cooked meals, group outings , public schools plural, a ride where ever I needed, money given to me as well as the ability to get my own job

Figure i go ahead and leave a review. Ppl only think its good on the outside and u may think they serve a good purpose but when i was a child that grew up in the system u dont hear much from us and while i stayed here my life was a living hell! I hope it has changed for the better but when i lived there i was constantly bullied and staff never did anything about it and when u first come there its like your an inmate instead. What ppl fail to realise is when tragedy occured due to us coming here we had to face more tragedy when we arrived due to the staff not giving a dam and being hateful. I just hope its changed and nobody else have to go through what i went through
