Severely neglected my sister and after causing great upheaval to her life, dumped her after only 3 months. This place is nothing more than a staffing agency with zero management. I was dealing with a major health issue and could not care for her. They accepted my sister and then did nothing to prepare for her. They didnt hire for her. The logs were generic and had the wrong info on them, including the wrong meds. They have schedulers who put many different untrained staff into your loved ones home each week, half of which were subs. I had to train 11 of their staff for them in one month.
The facilitator did nothing and literally wanted me to do her job for her. I got calls all week about many problems and requests to do things for her. I was even asked to "sub" for them. When I did her job for her, she opposed me and never passed any of the info on to staff. So I had to manage the house for her, which only worked if the caregivers would work with me and some wouldnt. I did everything for this person. I had to do all my sisters shopping, get all her meds and make all food, just so caregivers could do nothing but sit there, look at their phones all day and simply heat her food up in the microwave like really bad babysitters.
Since no one was trained or knew her she went without her food, meds, drinks, showers, sleep and had multiple incontinence accidents a week because no one took her to the bathroom. Every week I saw her she was dirty, sick and tired and visibibly suffering. She got multiple viruses in a short time from so many different people coming and going and had an ear infection that lasted 2 months because she couldnt get her meds. Caregivers were concerned but didnt know what to do because the facilitatir would not provide them any of the many solutions I gave her. My sister was shut in her apartment all day and no one interacted with her. She was extremely anxious and unable to connect with so many different strangers. The facilitator abd scheduler showed zero compassion or concern for her and treated her like an object. My sister was so unhappy and physically unwell she started to refuse to eat.
She finally got two good, stable staff per my request (that I had to train) but when I asked for a facilitator who wouldnt neglect her and tried to have boundaries around not doing everything for her, the director abruptly dropped her. He did so by calling my serious concerns about her health and neglect "complaints." This coincidentally happened when one of their staff went on vacation, because the scheuler wouldnt give her subs. Im not sure what these people actually do, because its not their jobs. Only in California. Where people with intellectual disabilities are regularly neglected and denied their rights andt reated by objects by directors and managers who view them as business transactions and are free to neglect them with zero consequences. No other program has neglected my sister as badly as this one in 22 years. These people are abusers and gaslighters. Consumers have no protection.
