This is a wonderful place for the senior community. Their homemade delicious lunches are Monday thru Friday at noon, the cost is only $6.50. Volunteers are available to help serve the community. They provide different activities during the week such as Yoga, Bingo, Quilting, Hiking, Kayaking just to name a few. During the time I was there, a doctor took bloodpressure checks by request. Trips are offered to different countries and in July a trip on their own shuttle bus is scheduled to the Cherry Festival in Traverse City. I met two exchange students from Germany last year who also work at the Community Center. Each year new exchange students arrive and they enjoy working with the elderly and they all love gaining the experience!

I went there to lunch with my mother-in-law and was amazed at the people who care for those attending, the quality of the meal and the friendliness of the entire staff. We have her signed up now to go twice a week.

I have used the transportation department to get mom to and from appointments in her motorized wheel chair. The drivers are caring people that put her at ease knowing that she will arrive and return safely. It is a great service for the area.
