I really loved most of the staff. So helpful and understanding. But one staff member by the name of Stacey, came into my room one night while no other staff was present and with no cameras on that floor and accused my kids of violating quiet time at 2 am when we were all almost asleep. I was half nude as my kids are small and that's how I sleep in my own bed. When I begged and then even screamed at her to please get out of my room as I was naked from the waist down, she commented, "I will not leave, this is MY HOUSE." I had family on the phone after this and was trying to dress and3 more times she entered my room with no knock or reasonable explanation. Finally I told my family member I needed to get off the phone to call the police and she ran downstairs to call the cops herself. I had this family member on the phone the ENTIRE time and when the police got there I said I would talk to the cop but not her as she had at this point terrorized my 6 and 5 year old by telling them they broke some rule and would have to sleep outside. The cop shut the door in her face and assured me he had his camera on but that because it is a house own and run by whomever, he would have to escort my children and I off property at 3am. She refused to give me me the directors name, who I found the next day anyway and was advised by a housing advocate to file a police report when i got back to TC because cadillac police were "too busy at 3am to take a report". As a victim of sexual violence and strangulation, I was absolutely beside myself and was trying to calm my kids down. I wouldn't go back there while she holds a job even if you paid me. As I said, the rest of the staff was amazing and very understanding of the women around them and the things we have all been there. But there is no room for women like stacy in a house when full of abused women and children. One of the worst parts was, she WANTED the reactive abuse reaction from me. Again, i would NOT recommend Oasis house while she is employed. I wad also advised by a housing worker to file a police report which i am tmw and i did report her to the director. But when i first went into their office, i was told told i was being inappropiate for bringing it up... but it didnt stop them from chasing me down as i left to get into my car and asking me to please come up privately to file a grievence. Shady as f. Be careful ladies, some people dont love their jobs, its just the only job they can get.

I am so glad that I took my son here. The staff was great and they were very patient with my son who has autism. They were so patient with him and they were so knowledgeable and they were so nice to him and we were in and out in about 20 minutes. He got approved for services and he will probably learn to love going there.

This is for the ladies from the housing center who help you find a place to live. Ms. Renaye and Ms. Ronda, just knowing that there are people like you who actually really do care and want to help, after our conversation my whole life changed, my thoughts became more clear, there was a calmness in me I didn't know I had. These women deserve the world. Thank you for everything.

Please consider donating to another charity this holiday season. (Call and pretend you need help and see what really happens if you need proof.) They are extremely disorganized too, which is a detriment to those seeking help. They only made things worse for us. My children & I don’t trust anyone offering help now. They are going to get somebody killed.

I enjoyed the idea of the place, but staff and residents caused issues with my safety concerns; for myself and my children... I would go back only with a professionally chosen staff.

Supposed to be a women's shelter. A dv shelter. But their advocates pick and choose whom to help. They even go to the bars and motels to hang out with them. Pretty illegal and immoral.
