Seldom do I give RAVE Reviews! Oakmont is a rare exception... Although I am relatively new here (2 years), ALL of the many amenities here are exceptional: well designed and meticulously maintained. That includes two golf courses, 3 recreation areas, an auditorium, a well stocked library, etc.

Oakmont is an incredible find! I have lived in 9 states and I have finally found the perfect place to live! The land is gorgeous and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The HOA fees are lower than I experienced in other states, which is surprising for NorCal. I see some reviews about snobby rich people, and that's true just like everywhere else, but there are also many renters and middle class owners who are fantastic neighbors.

Snobby, my parents lived here and then relative. Kind of the more money you have the better the service but par for course everywhere. Library has very good selection of books. Crabby old people and entitled rich make it a bummer.

An agressive owners association. They represent "owners" interests in the maintenance of common areas, pools, gyms, and clubhouses. They don't let renters vote or give input on issues. In the 4 plus years I have been here the number of people renting has increased dramatically. The average age has gone lower but the attitude of the average owner towards renters remains negative sort of a non citizen. But pay the dues every month.
