I called recently due to a problem I was having with the fact that Northern Arizona HealthCare continues to bill me for a procedure that is covered by my insurance. I spoke to a man named Chris, who was extremely helpful. He explained that I needed to call my insurance company directly, rather than send messages through its patient portal. (I had previously sent four.)

Chris was patient, polite, knowledgeable, and didn't treat me as if I was an idiot, which, unfortunately, is the case with many people who deal with older adults. I wish more people knew about Northern Arizona Council's services, and that all representatives should be exactly like Chris!

Locked up office building. Traveled 80+ miles just to be told to mail in application.

I feel the weatherization program was rigged to accommodate renters, medium income, men, the mountain raised "good ole' boys". I may be the only very low income older female homeowner trying get on the list for almost 6 years. I was not prepared for a crew of workers from Tucson to do the weatherization - It was rushed and no one explained or looked at me in the eye. NO one did anything with insulation anywhere. One door was weather stripped, but the other was ignored. LED was randomly installed and the 2 appliances I didn't feel necessary to replace... they replaced with junk. NO WINDOWS got looked at because why? They were told that nacog no longer replace windows. My water heater, toilets and kitchen faucet (they put a small filter thing on the end) are bad and all leak or run or need adjusting. The vents they cut in to the already short bedroom doors is too much, the house is colder than last year and my bills are higher, I couldn;t even get anyone to get up on a ladder and make a repair to one corner of the roof. But I have little white alarms on every wall (looks silly).

The employees are rude and disrespectful. I was actually hung up on! I filled out and submitted an application back in January it is now April! Nothing... I can't get a hold of anyone, I leave messages no one calls back. This place needs to be investigated. They help who they want to help and that's it. I will be making some calls, this is NOT OKAY.
