After reports of an employee breaking multiple policy's the manager did nothing. After reports of this same employee using their "spell" knowledge to intimidate others, generic response followed by more shift with the star employee. Which lead to me leaving, double standards, hypocrisy is not 🚫 the way I roll. Be about what you preach. The young manager hits her vape in her office in front of me. I couldn't tell you why (but mind you people are being kicked out for the same thing) while training maybe to show she's cool after telling her about how uncomfortable her star employee makes others. If your going to be "cool" be "cool" not just to certain people.

Hypocrisy all around the board and unless you want to keep that standard up you will not fit in and people will back one another up.

Employees definitely need more training on how to read a proper UA. Their star employee couldn't even tell what temperature the sample was. Yet everyone is supposed to listen and bow down blindly to a human. Got in her feelings and decided to tell the boss I thought she was "mean" as a child would do.

Have to put my experience out there, this place was decent, the only problem with this place I had was that I was on a bunk that was up to the ceiling my head was right up to it, had a room mate who wouldn't let me sleep because I had a job and she didn't, and I had a friend offer me a room so I took the room and left, these people freaked and were upset that I left. Now they lie and say I had a conduct against me😆
I'd never go back there, but be careful if you find a place and leave. Thanks for not doing a damn thing for me, I do it all on my own. What a joke 🤣

I share both good and bad. It's a decent place structure-wise, and I hear it's much cleaner and safer than other shelters in bigger cities. That is probably true. --->I was kicked out because my bus ride didn't show up. I called before curfew, and they asked me why I didn't call sooner. I did send in proof of booking my ride though. There was nothing I could do. The app said my ride would be there at a certain time, and the ride wasn't there. I ended up missing curfew, and they kicked me out. I felt accused of drinking, but I was not drinking. I know you're not supposed to drink at the shelter.

They say they care but rules & regulations are more important the human beings & their safety in this cold weather. They made my son leave today, after he been given in Thanksgiving he could come back at 10:00pm but omitted to inform him that head count was before then & waited til today the day after it snow where the person in charge Debbie told him he had 1hr to leave I'm in Florida with
his father Who has cancer and is ICU & I called to Beg her to not throw my son in the street & all she kept quoting me their rules & regulations & even brushed me off saying we are not getting anywhere to get me off the phone. A person that has no compassion, understanding & just basic humanity should not be in charge of a position that decides who freezes & who does not.

Very helpful in my time of need. Clean accommodating facility with a great staff. There are rules that must be followed because that is how it stays in such good shape.

The staff does not seem to understand that they are caring for human lives. Very toxic environment at all levels with double standards and unprofessional staff members. They will make up lies to kick you out. Being told you did something wrong when you did not can be absolutely devastating for individuals with mental health issues or disabilities. A meal staff member concocted lies about me becuase we had a relationship outside of the shelter and I assume she was afraid of losing her job. What some residents are allowed to do, others are asked to leave for. Rules only apply to some and the residents that come back regularly are given preferential treatment. They have residents who stay for months and do nothing all day. You can't end homelessness if you are helping create it!

Very nice , clean and structured homeless shelter. Only adults with no kids are allowed as far as I know . There are daily chores and a daily curfew of 10pm (at which time there is a daily breathalyzer before bed/lights out. They do everything they can to help you get ahead and get a place of your own. The second floor is transitional living , which is your own apartment for $300 a month . 1st floor is cafeteria and program offices etc , 3rd floor is the residence dorm rooms / bathrooms/ laundry room.
Male and female are accepted .
THIS PLACE IS A MILLION TIMES BETTER THEN ST.JOHNS , DOWNTOWN.

Personally knowing someone who lived there, the place is what you make it. Help is there if you want it. Privacy is probably the hardest as you share a room with a few people. It has been a blessing for the person I know, he has held a job, saving money & his outlook on life is much better. The place is clean and I've been told the food isn't too bad.
