It's a truly beautiful place, with an amazing aura. The Sisters are sweet and welcoming. There are three aspects to the House, the museum, her room and her tomb. The museum will actually give you chills, it's preserved beautifully, and really captures the essence of what Mother Theresa's ethereal spirit was and will always be. The tomb is very well decorated, and the area is well embellished with paintings. The room of Mother Theresa is perfectly kept and really makes you feel her presence.
A must visit in Kolkata!!

As a caregiver there I really enjoy what I do there. Caring for someone who can't care for themselves is a gift sent from God. If you feel that you have a caring passion to do this, then you can call the MTH and talk to someone who can help you get started.

Mother Teresa, who is known as Mother Teresa of Calcutta, received a calling to serve others in India, and though she traveled all over the country and world, she did much of her work right in Kolkata.

It was on Christmas day when I decided to visit Mother Teresa's home, a place that's now referred to throughout the city as the “Motherhouse.”
