Been here 5 months. Got dropped off here with no means of getting back on my feet after being wrongfully terminated from the new balance factory. I told the staff the situation, and they didn't take me seriously. Was and have been reasonably persistent and yet still no progress. I have bills... This has been a nightmare. It took them 5 months to get me a free cell phone the government issues. On the bright side, you won't starve. Feel sort of like a prisoner than a guest.

3 weeks later.. my case manager, Matt, hasn't been on time once for any appointments. Extremely unprofessional, going as far as to say a scenario in which matt was telling someone to "eat his ass." I am a grown man, 25 years old, and I'm completely speechless. If I get upset at this building that I call a drug den, I could potentially lose my bed. I've been trying to get on my feet since day 1. These people that work here as well as the residents I'm suspecting are either gang members or in and out of jail. Incompetent, unprofessional, and I complete disappointment for someone such as myself who lost a family member and took it hard, and am trying to just get back on my feet. Like I said before, you won't starve. If you want to watch a bunch of junkies nod out like you're at a zoo, come on down.

There very good there since Rick took over. Everyone loves him he's pleasant n polite n caring man. Good job Rick way to go.

Stayed here with my 10 month old for three months, some of the rules are ridiculous and some of the staff treat you like your beneath them. They did however help me get into a place and continue to help me while I get on my feet! My advice for Any on having to go through that difficult time is to remember it's just temporary and just do what's asked you.. it's worth it to find stable housing!

Comfy mattress even if it is on the floor. Lol it's warm at least. I got a new apartment that I move into Monday. But it's nice to know there's places out there like this. I never would have known about homeless shelters if my sisters weren't showing me tough love. They won't even allow me to stay At my dad's place. I guess everything happens for a reason. Lol

This place is not great they are very disrespectful and they tend to be nice for a few days to lure you in and then they turn to stockers and drama people, rick which is control of down stairs in the shelter doesn't do his job he tends to keep the people who create drama and people who provoke others, this place is nothing but a disaster nothing but bad people, you can mind your own business and stay to your self, but they always get you and they create drama, it's not a place for people that actually want to get their life together people who want to get on there feet who wanna change their life people who want things to get better over time, but in this shelter in waterville should be shout down or for someone to fired all staff and managers and get new people, rick needs to go and the case managers and the staff.

Worst place in the world to find yourself with kids! I found myself without a home during winter & went to this Waterville shelter which claimed to be a family shelter! When we arrived it had single adults on one side of the building & families on the other! We were forced to sleep with our room door open & weren't permitted to shut it ever even during the day! Myself & my 3 small children ages 1, 2 & 7 were given a room to share with 1 other mother & her 2 kids in a 10×10 room! The picture in their website is not a room that they place people in! We were treated like 2nd class citizens due to our homelessness by the management named Betty! I was forced by Betty to put my sleeping baby in a pack n play in front if a very cold window in our room as opposed to her being placed next to my bed. The room reached temperatures of 48°-57° each night! The Waterville Fire Department even told the manager=Betty that the baby wasn't safe near the window but that didn't matter to her! I wasn't even allowed to hang a blanket to shield my napping children's eyes from the sun which I learned by Betty barging in my room unannounced just to rip the blanket down! After 3 months every single person who stayed there came down with a terrible sickness which caused severe diarrhea & vomiting for 7-9 days straight.. Some of the other families I learned had been staying there for 9-11 months & some left to live on the streets because of our living conditions! Case managers did nothing to communicate with other agencies about available rentals and after 3 months & 3 weeks of craziness & very little sleep I took it upon myself to call around to different housing & rental agencies to try & find a way out when I finally I reached out to the Brunswick Family shelter & they gave me the number to Brunswick Housing Authority because the caseworker from Brunswick Family Shelter told me I was on a waiting list thru them! So I called the Brunswick Housing Authority & was immediately told that they had tried to reach me thru the Waterville Shelter because I was moved to the head of the list to receive a voucher for housing! So they did nothing but give me a room to lay my children down at night but caused some serious trauma for all that stayed there! The worst part was Betty & the helpless feelings she purposefully made us feel due to our homelessness! The only ok part about staying there was the overnight staff which felt compassion for us ended up putting up a sliding partition wall to separate the adult singles from us on the family side! No housing was found with their help! Thankfully I called Brunswick Family shelter! Myself & 2 of my 3 children will never forget the trauma & judgment of that horrible Shelter!
