I donate a lot of item there. I don’t bother going to any other thrift stores to donate because I want to bless the Vineyard ministry and Mercy. I love the outreach they do!!!! The last few times I’ve gone in to shop I have noticed the prices are doubled or tripled for some items. I went in to look at bicycles and some of the name-brand bicycles that need a lot of TLC we’re over $100. I have donated many bicycles and I just can’t believe how much they are charging for things nowadays. I get the inflation but the last few times I’ve been there. I walked right in and walked right out. I wish they could do better.

I have had many experiences dropping off donations at various charitable organizations, and the staff were always friendly and approachable. However, this time, I encountered an extremely unpleasant staff member.

The parking lot at this location is very cramped, with a one-way flow of traffic. When I drove up to the entrance and realized I couldn’t drop off directly, I decided to reverse into a small parking spot. While I was reversing, a staff member behind me in a van started honking aggressively. I thought I was about to hit someone, so I quickly moved my car into a nearby handicap parking space to get out of his way. To my surprise, he slammed on the gas and reversed into the spot I was initially backing into.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the spot wasn’t designated for work vehicles, and there was another spot right by the one I was attempting to park, meaning there was no reason for him to act as if I was taking his spot. Such behavior was incredibly rude—something I wouldn’t expect to encounter at a charitable organization, or even in my decades of driving experience!

People typically park for no more than 30 seconds to drop off donations. Aggressively honking like you’re driving livestock and scaring away people trying to contribute to a good cause is unacceptable. If you’re getting paid and not a volunteer, maybe it’s time to find a different job. I don’t understand what could have been so urgent or important that it made you feel this entitled.

By the way, the other staff took the donation without offering a receipt.

I can’t believe this is how a charitable organization operates!

I could have sold those stuff for $300 on OfferUp easily.

Charitable organizations should hire staff with friendly attitudes, as their role is to encourage acts of kindness, not to make people feel bullied during the process of donating.

my first time to this place and it’s so unorganized and they shouldn’t call it a thrift store because it’s way overpriced. It’s ridiculous and they are rude, I offered a good price for an item and they said no. I will not be returning. There are plenty of other places

Best thrift store in South Orange County, both on the buy side and the donate side.

I hear this from everybody... The guys working outside accepting donations are the kindest people. It's good vibes here all day long. I know because I've made a lot of donations. They also accept a wide variety of items, so if other donation centers seem picky, you can try Mercy Warehouse. But don't donate large items you know people wouldn't want to buy please.

If you're buying, the selection is fantastic. It's massive in there. Good art, good furniture, great clothes. Line moves quickly. I once saw a Rolls Royce exiting the parking lot with goods stacked high in the back seat. You're going to find things here that you won't find anywhere else.

Lastly, they do really good work. I've gotten to know their staff and other people they have helped since I've been working with them in other capacities, and it's inspiring stuff.

I give it... 12/5 stars, my highest recommendation. Check it out for yourself!

We love mercy warehouse. The pricing can be all over the place as they do blanket pricing (e.g. all shirts for xx amount), which can lead to some great finds.
