I want to make a complaint and a report to the medical board or whoever can help with that. On May 13, 2025 around 4:15pm my mother had a phone appointment with Dr. Vaquero over test results. Months prior she has been asking Dr. Vaquero if he can refer her to the foot doctor to take care of an ingrown toenail she is currently suffering from. She’s been going back and forth with calls and people who work in the department regarding inaccurate information about which doctor she is getting referred to in order to get checked out on her toe. During the call with Dr. Vaquero, my mom asked “so there’s nothing else you can do, you can’t refer me somewhere else” and he said “there’s nothing I can do”. My mom said “so I’m just going to wait until my toenail turns purple and to the point where they can amputate it.” Dr. Vaquero said “no there’s nothing I can do, maybe you should go back to Mexico.” What a rude, unprofessional doctor! I will get in contact with everyone from the clinic if I have to. He needs to get fired and out of that clinic immediately.

People who actually care about YOU. They should be recognized by everyone who they help and listen to, giving them advise that sinks in your soul. They are all great people who understand. Not just a number

I visited Mend on Friday, 23rd February 2024. The security guards are pleasant to me. I have been here before, and it never took this long. I stood there for an hour, in the line it was long and it was hot. MEND you all need to do better than this, it has elderly persons, children.. When I went inside now, I had my orange slip and there were 3 volunteers at the desk. One line moving fast the other slow..As a result of this person's who came 30 minutes after me, ended up before me in the line to get their food. Now, tell me how this makes sense. I spoke to a worker, she said some people ended up forgetting their orange slips, so they ended up having to do one over. Why not have 3 lines? Attend to those that have their slip, another line for first-timers, another line for those who forget. Have a numbering system so it wouldn't have unruly persons skipping. Then she mentioned the Volunteers are on a 15-minute break. So I am waiting again. I understand that they have been their early. However, it needs to be done better. people out here in the heat or cold is not a good look, Mend. Do better. If the Volunteers need to be trained to handle the influx, it needs to be done. Another thing foods that are expired or not in good condition do not give to persons. However, they do give fresh vegetables, tin foods rice, and bread. I'm totally disappointed in this process.

This place is part of Serra Medical. This was the second time I had to go there and again it just doesn't feel like a safe place for me. It made me feel like I was out of my element. But the doctor I saw was very comforting and made me feel at ease.

It's a blessing to give back to all the families but most importantly the children that MEND helps out during the holidays.
