So I have thought about posting this since it happened. Memorial hospital is an absolute joke/nightmare. A simple visit turned into the most disgusting event I have been through in a professional setting. So with me being pregnant I have been in the er department a few times for simple things but the last visit I had will more than likely be my last visit I will find a different er to go to at this point they lost all my trust. So let’s begin with they got me into a room pretty fast so I get comfy on the bed waiting to be seen and instantly my pants were soaked completely I was like wtf it was yellow so I called my nurse in and he said omg I thought I got it all cleaned the previous patient had urinated in the bed. So my nurse stripped the bed, grabbed some bleach and wiped the bed down, put a new sheet on plus a pee pad and another sheet over the top of that. Mind you never offered me clean clothes or a gown to change into nothing, I was so beyond mad my nurse disappeared and didn’t come back for hours. Kinda weird they didn’t just give me a new bed or a new room or offer a gown( so I pulled my pants down under the blanket so I wasn’t wet) but whatever fast forward about an hour and I started smelling pee and I felt damp I pulled the sheet off and the pee pad and the entire bed was soaked again at that point I got off the bed and sat in the chair. A nurse walking by noticed and asked if I needed anything I said for starters a new bed seeing that this was the second time someone else’s pee soaked the bed. She said omg yes I will get this taken care of my original nurse came in at the same time cause he heard what was going on and said he was so sorry he thought he took care of the problem. There was a crack in the bed so literally the whole bed absorbed the pee and when my doctor finally came back I told him I wanted to file a complaint and so I did but I couldn’t believe my experience with supposedly the hospital claiming to be oh so clean.

Point blank: never come here if you can help it. It really is a joke how bad this hospital is. Everyone you talk to in the area knows at least *someone* that was either nearly killed, or *was* literally killed by negligence/idiocy. On top of that, they’re not even nice about it - I have never experienced a healthcare facility that was so toxic and mean spirited. Nurses (LPN,RN, and NP)(outside of the ER) are the ONLY professional you want to interact with here - the only ones with sense and empathy.

This is the most caring and attentive office I've went to. From the doctors to the receptionists. A huge thank you to Gail for making sure that my pharmacy fills my script today. My pharmacy always seems to give me problems but she made sure they wouldn't slack! It's hard to find amazing help these days but you'll definitely find it here.

My mom went to a doctor here with constant and severe stomach pain. The doctor told her “change your diet” and sent her away. The appointment was 10 minutes. Then NEXT! It’s like the McDonalds of healthcare.

Anyways, the bill comes for that visit and is $370 for the copay. My mom refused to go back until her stomach exploded. She then had stage 4 cancer that spread all throughout her body and died a year later after chemo at Memorial.

It may be close and convenient for those in rural areas but they are definitely very far from the best. They always seem to want to see you very, very quickly and have no clue what they’re doing. Then again they also just don’t have the time to listen.

I recently went there with my son Adrian. Adrian is special needs as he has down syndrome and was very sick when we went. It took quite some time to get us seen as they were very busy but the staff was great. They treated my son so good all of the nurses and doctors were great.

My loved one goes to Memorial every week for paracentesis because she has cirrhosis of the liver (Its NASH - not from alcohol) and has been doing so for about 5 months. She had a wonderful, compassionate and caring woman who did her procedure. Always on time, careful and excellent at her job so my loved one did not experience any pain. As of January of this year the hospital did not renew her contract and is now pulling people from the radiology department to do her procedures. They cause her a lot of pain, are not adequately using the anesthetic before inserting the catheter and are often late. Its a disgrace that the hospital put profits about patients.
Trying to find another place to get these done each week as I do not enjoy listening to how much pain she is in while they do this. Not to mention the amount of time we are up and ready and at the hospital before they even start. Shame on the people who make the financial decisions.

This hospital provides much more than one would expect in a small town and does so with excellence. I was born here and so were my children. My father received excellent care in his cancer treatment. My mother is now receiving great care on the GI side. Truly a family ready to serve you and your family.

Memorial health care hospital is outstanding ! All the staff truly cares about their patiences. They are always so caring and so nice . Our son has MS so we have to go to the hospital to have MRI'S often also the the family medical Office for Dr. Visits and the cancer center for his infusion for M.S . The MS institute for his MS Dr. I have nothing but great things to say about everyone of these places. Outstanding.
