This is the easiest shelter to work with. A couple others we called wanted us to do inventory this one was the easiest to work with. They close at 2:00pm on the weekends so get there before closing. They got me in and out in 5min. Very nice staff!

Aaah, yeeez‼️ There shouldn't b (1) one negative word about Mms. GS operations 4 "Mary's Kitchen"; no, not one.
The persons volunteering know it's a necessary outreach 4 us less fortunate citizens of OC county, Ca. You that disagree w. my above statement, because you didn't receive an item on YOUR term's,; how easily you forget?!
Ask anyone that knows of " The Kitchen" how many x the serv. / prod. was given to 'em w/o expecting an equal rtn. of said item. There's no lieing ta kick it.!... Multiple 🕠's ‼️
Oh! 'excuse me!! As Mary, Helen, Gloria, Louie, Joe, Steve, Jack, Barbara(s), so many other board members would ask, "please do a very minimal amount of work on their property, in exchange for the help we gave you" ' not them asking much, n you aren't punchin' a clock!

The folks who work or volunteer at Mary's Kitchen are very generous and kind. My husband and I have been there several times. Every time we arrive, they are helpful and we never leave empty handed. Very generous with the food. My husband is a Veteran of the army. We were in a situation where we needed a helping hand. The people are fast to make sure you have food and I will be back. I recommend this place to anybody who is in need of help.

I utilized Mary's kitchen when the Mobile Optical Unit was there for exams. The Doctors and Assistants from Serve the People in Santa Ana were, honestly, they were amazing. One of the nicest teams I have ever had assist me, for any medical need. They're there once a month, so I would check the schedule through Mary's
Kitchen. Mary's Kitchen has amazing people working / volunteering, I'm sure, their own precious time to help guide the homeless and less fortunate in the right direction.
The food was very good. I was able to get a breakfast at one time, so it was nice to have a warm meal and which they serve that two times a day I think breakfast and lunch and they are done by 2 p.m. I'm told.
Keep up the good work and thank you for helping US that need YOU.

Leaving this poor review in the hope of getting some attention from Mary's Directors.
They continue to post Google hours open Tuesdays & Thursdays... Yet are actually CLOSED at their new Anaheim boulevard listed address. I have called them multiple times, and spoke with them in person... yet they refuse to correct their misleading entry! This harms the community of people who need their services most, who have travel difficulty only to be frustrated. And my attempts to correct them have been met with disdain at best... And outright aggression at worst!

Perhaps this is one of the reasons the City of Orange evicted them.
Sadly... their services are both needed and missed...
But not their bad attitude.

I’m on my own journey right now and I needed a clean shower. The people I volunteered with are super friendly and enjoyable to be around. Anyone who rates this less then 5 stars hasn’t had to go without anything or are super stuck up. If you need a place to rest in a chair and get some shade/meal and shower; utilize this place and support!!!
