The bocce courts here are the bomb! Though there are plenty of leagues, joining is recommended, as lessons are free.

Rude people there. We walked in, nobody greeted us. The sign on the entrance says something about leagues and open times but NOT that it costs $$ to play. We walked in, were not greeted at all, used the restroom, still nobody talked to us. I saw two open courts that were not in use and asked my partner if he wanted to play. There was nobody waiting to play; all players were involved in other games on other courts. We started our game; a minute later, a man came bounding up to us, saying, "we're closed!" (because of a tournament). I said, "awww, can we just have 5 minutes?" he got very rude and said, NO and that we'd have to leave, and started to follow us out, like were trying to shoplift and he was the security guard. Very unfriendly place and we will never go back. Other Bocce Ball courts are FREE and folks are FRIENDLY. This was just bizarre treatment. SMH, San Rafael, do better.

Great place to play some bocce. Nice people to explain the game if you don't know how to play or it's been a while. They have 8 outdoor courts and 2 inside.

I get to come up here once a year for a Italian social club. Great fast running courts that each of their own quirks, but are still fun to play on.
