Enrolling my neurodivergent daughter in theatre was probably one of the most impactful decision I ever made for her. Maraya did not just become an outlet for her creative expression. It also became her therapy, her advocate and her community! The rigorous and thorough training has improved her focus, discipline and love for performing arts. I’m grateful for Maraya for encouraging her to come out of her shell, and for allowing her to be her true authentic self. Maraya is more than a theatre school, it’s family!

Maraya’s provides the ideal space for all children, from all backgrounds, to find their voices and share their passions. Miss AJ and her team work so hard to instill values of teamwork, hard work, and self confidence so our kids have a full toolbox off stage to take on life’s challenges. The Regional Center sent my daughter to Maraya Performing Arts almost 8 months ago with the goal of strengthening her social skills. In the short time, she has exceeded that goal and so much more. My observation from the first day was the kindness, acceptance, and uniqueness of the students at Maraya. We have never found such a wonderful environment. Students of all ages were incredibly kind and treated my daughter like a true part of the team. We immediately started to see positive changes in her. She gained independence and confidence. For the first time in her life, she felt like she had friends and belonged. I quickly realized the environment was a result of the way Mrs. AJ ran the studio. She is encouraging and uplifting while also teaching the children personal responsibility. My daughter has never been treated differently but celebrated for being who she is. She is truly accepted. I do not have words to do the staff justice. They are incredible and have all added to my daughter’s boundless growth since being there. When doing a small tv interview after a production, my daughter said that when she gets on the stage after bad days at school, everything just melts away. That’s how she describes going to class. Everything melts away and she has a few hours of friendship, encouragement, and acceptance. That is a gift that Maraya offers her and others. My daughter was just approached by another performing arts company through common acquaintances to join them and my daughter asked if they loved autism as much as Maraya does! She went on to tell them that where she was at loved autism a lot so she was staying there! That says it all. The students learn amazing technical skills in dance, theater, and voice. The instructors are some of the most talented artists in the business. However, the students learn so much more at Maraya.

This is a special place for my 11 year old. We found this place just as my daughter's school discontinued the performing arts program. My daughter's first thought when she began studying at Maraya is "These are my people." We have been at Maraya for more than a year and my daughter has been in multiple showcases and a production. She has learned to be organized and manage her time with school work and Maraya work. The staff is very caring, supportive, and nurturing. I have noticed significant growth in my child and an increase in her confidence.

Maraya ain't cheap, but you will see every penny you spend put back towards your child. If you are just looking for a babysitter, this ain't it. However, if you are looking for a studio DEDICATED to your child's development, Maraya leaves it all on the floor.

Wonderful place for kids who want to learn and get more experience in performing arts. Staff is very professional, and they are really nice and supportive. Kids love to be at the Studio and we can see how they get more knowledge, experience and self confidence class after class. We are all proud to be part of the Maraya family.
